I think it's great knowing that the wallet was created just for you!  My partner, luciabug should receive my wallet any day now...and I'm still anxious about her reaction to the wallet that I tried to create for her.  On the flip side, I can't wait to see what she made for me Cheesy

I'm leaving for a weekend getaway and won't be back till Monday.  Hence, I will have limited access to Craftster the internet.  If you send me a pm and don't receive a prompt response from me, I wanted to let you guys know that I'm not ignoring you!!!  Cheesy

Oooh.  I'm keeping count.  Two down...and six to go Cheesy

Nesse, I love the action shot of the wallet that mint sent ya!  That is priceless Smiley  I <3 the fabric too... and for some reason or other, I think the wallet really suits you Cheesy

okay that will work. I really like this idea! When are you going to start the swap!!

I guess that depends on whether there's sufficient interest to get it started in the first place  Undecided  If there isn't enough people particpating in an ongoing swap, the pickings get pretty slim...and the swap will progress really slowly Tongue  I'm gonna let this topic stew over the weekend and see what happens.  If we decide to go for it, I would love to start the swap sometime during the first week of April.

I would be interested in this one loves2experiment, what a great idea!
I may have a fat quarter or 50 to trade  Wink

ilovepaper, you have 50 options to offer?!?  *hyperventilates*  Oh my.

Oooh.  More fabric porn Wink  I like the FQ with blueberries on them!

I think that the idea of picking 2 FQs is brilliant!  I'm not quite sure about 5 FQs though  Undecided  As a non-quilter, I don't usually purchase fat quarters by the bundle...mostly because I never like the selections they offer.

To reiterate, I would definitely go for swapping 2 FQs!!! Cheesy

verycrafty, I don't have a Hancocks near me, so I don't have an answer for you.  However, it's easy enough to buy half a yard of fabric and cut that piece in half to get 2 pieces measuring ~ 18 inches x 22 inches.  Voia!  2 FQs!!

6749  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Ongoing Fabric Fat Quarter Swap? on: March 23, 2006 02:23:19 PM
qazicat!!!  You're a fabric addict?!?  Hmmm...I guess it takes one to recognize another Wink  Regarding the issue of a potential tug-o-war for a prized fat quarter, it all boils down to who has the fastest internet connection and typing skills, LOL!

verycrafty, yes you'll have to have access to a camera so that you can post pictures of your fabric FQs.  I've given more thought to it, and I'm thinking we might have to take pictures of the FQs in batches of fives (i.e. limit it to 2 picture files per post) so that we don't overload the system Tongue  If there's enough interest to start this swap, I think I'll have to either stick with fat quarters or half yard pieces.  It'll get too confusing if both sizes are being swapped Tongue  I thought of fat quarters...mostly because I'm sure we're more likely to have 10 fat quarters, rather than 10 half yard pieces lying around, waiting to be sent to a good home Cheesy
