While on vacation in Oahu last month, we noticed that spam musubi was available...everywhere.
It consists of a slice of cooked spam on top a block of rice, bundled together with toasted seaweed.  Yummy!
The above spam musubi is not meant for consumption.  It's actually a prototype of something I am planning to make for my friends...as a memento of our crazy holidays Wink
After some thought, I came up with spam musubi hot & cold therapy packs Grin  Quirky and functional.  And most importantly, easy to construct.  After the pattern pieces were created, I decided on anti-pill fleece fabric for the spam and rice component coverings.  The nori wrap is made with some black silky fabric I had in my stash.

Deconstructed, we have the rice block (with flax seed pack insert), slice of spam (with cold pack insert), and toasted nori (with Velcro fasteners to hold everything together).

And if you've never tried this flavor of spam, you should.  Just for bragging rights! Wink
