Okay...it's me...again.  Yep, I received two swap packages today!  Hurrah!  This one was from dontlookback!  I wished for a tote and she made me a fabulous one!  It's done with a soft flannel-type fabric and the print is oh so pretty Smiley

There's more.  She also sent me a 'learn how to crochet kit'!  Uh-huh.  A huge ball of yarn, a crochet needle and a copy of Crochet! magazine for inspiration.  I'm floored by her generosity.  I've been wanting to re-learn how to crochet and this will definitely motivate me to get on with it!

dontlookback also requested that I take an action shot of the tote.  Unfortunately I'm already in my nightie, so my stuffie volunteered to do the honors.

Silly Gory, it's a tote!  It's NOT a sleeping bag  Roll Eyes  Thanks again, dontlookback!

Inspired by a project in Melanie Fallick's Weekend Knitting, I wanted to assemble a basket filled with yarn (odds and ends) and some needles for my visitors to fiddle with Smiley  Hence I wished for scraps of leftover yarn.

This evening, I received a package from lasandri and it was stuffed with all kinds of yummy yarn scraps Cheesy  I really love how she included a variety of yarns in different textures (she said she did it to inspire whoever comes by my place to knit!).  It was extremely thoughtful of her.  Thanks again, lasandri

I received an awesome piece of wall art from batgirl this evening.  The colors are fantastic and I really love how she incorporated elements such as maps, stamps, and handwritten correspondence into her collage.  It's going to brighten up my craft room Smiley  Thanks, batgirl!

405  Re: I <3 felt swap mach II in The Swap Gallery by loves2experiment on: January 24, 2006 08:10:25 PM
Looky everybody!  Here are the awesome items I received from my partner, jungrrl!

A trio of stuffies!  Yep, not one but three Smiley  Two monsters and a bat!  It's hard to pick a favourite, but I have a soft spot for lime green objects Cheesy  I will be adding all three stuffies to my permanent stash of Halloweenesque items...

To top things off, she also sent me a pin, a wallet, a cupcake and a notebook with a felt schnauzer's silhouette on it (I have a mini schnauzer, so this is really precious!).

Thank you so much for a terrific swap experience, jungrrl!

PinkMafia received and asked me to post the pics of what I sent her, so here it is.

I made her a set of tiny 'Dia de Muertos' (Day of the dead) stationary. Here is the vinyl cover closed:

here it is open:

And here is the tiny stationary (it is approx. 4x5 in): tiny envelopes, tiny sugar calavera sheets, tiny note cards, calavera stickers and calavera buttons to match...

It was superfun to do and of course I am in for a next round!  Grin

Oh my!  CraftyZary, that's superb!

*ahem*  I've received my swap goodies from pibbgirl!!!  We had an unexpected 4 inches of snow today and I almost decided not to check my mailbox.  Boy am I glad I did Wink

She made me a wonderful light pink Hello Kitty tote with a silky purple Hello Kitty print lining.  I'm pretty useless when it comes to sewing with smooth fabrics so I'm definitely in awe Smiley  The Tare Panda zipper pouch is simply adorable!  pibbgirl, thanks for a wonderful swap!

I finally got around to making this wallet for a swap!  I didn't like velcro so I used magnetic snaps Smiley

410  Re: Embellished Lined Zipper Pouch Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by loves2experiment on: November 22, 2005 05:26:19 AM
I've received my zipper pouches from clayfaery and they are gorgeous!  The girl has skills!  Check it out!

The bird on the larger pouch is embroidered!!  In keeping with the bird theme, the zipper pull for the pouch is a little aqua glass bead bird.  The smaller pouch has felt and transfer image appliques on the front.  My picture's kinda crappy, but there are little seed beeds on the edge of the larger applique.  Oh...the zipper pull is a little felted bead Smiley

Had to show off the interiors of the pouches too Grin  Thanks for the pouches, clayfaery.  I really can't decide which one I like better, but I've got for plans for them!
