My awesome partner for my first IYP swap is the talented MissingWillow!  She spoiled me royally and I’m in total awe of her crafting skills!  She sews, she plays with clay, she makes yummy smelling soap and she lives on a fab farm!!!  How cool is that?

First up, the wonderful patchwork purse.  I love this! The colours she selected are perfect for me…and the size is just right



And looky!  A coordinating tea wallet!  I love my tea and I can’t believe I’ve never owned a tea wallet   She also included a selection of her favourite teas for me to try.  Yum!



She knows I’m a knitter, so she made me a project bag…in patchwork style!  This project bag is big enough to house a shrug!  Nice!



One of the things I’ve been looking for, is a small catchall for my rings.  During my work day, I wash my hands quite a bit and I’m always leaving my rings on my desk or by the sink   She made me a fabulous ceramic bowl!  I adore my new catchall!!



And from her farm, she sent along some squishy texel roving (from Beatrice the sheep) and a bar of sweet smelling lemon verbena goat milk soap!  So precious!



She also included some delectable edibles…choccies and mango peach green tea.



Like I said, she’s one swell swap partner!  Merci beaucoup MissingWillow!

I did some dyeing this weekend!  Including what I've already wound up in mini skeins, it looks like I have more than double the number of skeins I'll need for my partners   I'll have plenty to pick from as I work on packaging the mini skeins to send off to their new homes

Ah, it's super easy to get distracted by all the other awesome items in the swap packages...but dang, I'm totally drooling over all the squishy yarns!  

And looky here!  I received from my awesome partner, MareMare   After a 10 hour not-so-fun day at work, it was wonderful to come home to a box of yarnie goodies   Yep, a bunch of goodies!



Something green  ->  squishy green yarn!  So pretty!  I'll have to save it for a special project



Something tiny  ->  a small, forlorn panda who looks like it was sad to leave Mare's nephews   Gah, he's even waving to let them know he has arrived at his new home.  No worries, I'll take good care of him!



Something local  ->  choccies!!  Dark and milk...from Candy Basket!  Nom, nom, nom. 



Something funny  ->  perfectly nerdy and hilarious!  I'm bringing this with me to the office tomorrow



Something hard  ->  card case that'll be perfect for my business cards  



Something round  ->  a fabulous crocheted cowl   The colours are even more dashing in real life.  I adore it!



Sender's choice  ->  a book about collage!  I can't wait to check it!!



And a bonus!  There is no '8th' category in this scavenger hunt, but she thoughtfully included some sock yarn for me to play with

If you’re looking for a variety of mini skeins of fingering weight yarns for your beekeeper’s quilt project, this is the swap for you!  You will send out mini skeins of luscious yarns to your partners and receive the same quantity of mini skeins.  Essentially, this is a grab bag style supply swap.  


Details of swap:
~ Each mini skein of fingering weight yarn should measure approximately 15 yards or so (if in doubt, I’d recommend erring on the generous end of things ).  
~ If are paired up with swappers who crochet, you may send them 3 mini skeins of approximately 30 yards each (in place of 6 mini skeins of approximately 15 yards or so).
~ Although this is a random swap and you don’t have to worry about colour or fiber preferences, please be sure to send out yarns that you would be happy to receive.
~ Each participant will have the option of either having 3 partners (sending out 18 mini skeins total -> 6 skeins per partner, receiving 18 mini skeins) or 6 partners (sending out 36 mini skeins total -> 6 skeins per partner, receiving 36 mini skeins).
~ For domestic shipments, Delivery Confirmation Numbers (DC#) are required for the packages. If sending internationally please keep your postal receipt until your item is received.  
~ If your item has not been received within a reasonable time (2-3 weeks domestic; 4-6 weeks international) an angel can be arranged if you have a DC# or postal receipt.  If not, you will be required to resend.
~ Feedback will be given when all your partners have received from you. The organizers would love to issue feedback to swappers who are eligible to receive feedback in a timely fashion.  Please notify your partners and swap organizers as soon possible when you receive!

Whee!  I received an awesome hoop from the talented erica_tattoos this evening!  There was a huge package sitting on my front porch this evening and I couldn't believe it was for this swap!  The hoop measures approximately 20" by 15"...yeah did I mention that it was h-u-g-e   I love the theme that erica_tattoos selected for the hoop...birds!  Her embroidery is super neat, and I love the organic look of frayed fabric and random machine-stitching!
