452  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Toys and such - intro on: August 15, 2005 08:53:38 PM
Hi there -

I am a Craftster newbie, and I've already posted a "Hi, I'm new here" message in the jewelry forum, but I thought I'd pop in here as well, since I am on a major crochet kick as of late. Mostly, I have been making toys and things lately, rather than garments (though I am dying to make a shrug).
I am still despearately trying to figure out this posting-pictures-in messages thing, but in the meantime, here is a link to my crochet pictures in Flickr:

The teddy bear is the very first toy I ever crocheted; I made him from this pattern: http://www.crochetpartners.org/PatternLibrary/CPpat242.html. Fresh off of that project I wrote my own pattern for and made a Ninja Kitty. I am very proud of him (as the four pictures I have posted probably indicate). Finally, I made the lipstick and nail polish Christmas tree ornaments because I noticed that ornaments were the big seller at our school craft fair last year, and I was trying to come up with some creative ideas for this year. These are my first go, and I would like to tweak them a bit, but I think overall, they came out pretty cute.

Thanks for looking (and listening to me ramble). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated (particularly on the ornaments, i.e. how I might be able to improve them/spruce them up).

I'm excited to be on Craftster - the projects posted here are faboo.

453  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Be gentle on the newbie - beaded bracelets on: August 15, 2005 03:06:40 PM
Howdy, all -

I'm new here and I thought I'd post a link to pictures of some of my stuff. I like to do off-loom beadweaving, especially net stitch, which is what I used to make these bracelets. Here ya go.

I know the picture quality isn't great, but I'd love any feedback anyone would care to give. Thanks. Smiley

Note: I had to go back in and change the URL after I changed some stuff in Flickr. I will get the hang of this eventually.

That is super cool. I was thinking about how fun it would be to make a mobile, and yours is fantastic.
