1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Playing card book on: October 28, 2008 07:01:01 AM
Thanks for passing along the idea!
I really like this project and am now thinking of doing something similar for my mom. Luckily her 52nd b-day is coming up so this would be perfect!

I too am impressed by the clock! Very nice.

That mug is really cool, too!

Greetings everyone! Last Friday I received a lovely package from Edel. Cheesy

She made me some really awesome pillowcases shaped like chocolate bars:

...as well as a bag that represents the colors of white, milk, and dark chocolate!

Here the lovely mint-chocolate earrings she made me:

Here is a picture of the chocolate

I have already sampled a few and they are deliecious!! The Ritter marzipan is my favorite.

Annnd here is what I send to edel!

A chocolate-mint bag with chocolate pin:

Chocolate cd wallet:

An eye cover for chocolate dreams:

Funky "My name is Chocoholic" nametags:

A set of 4 cards. Here is a picture of the Thank-you cards:

Aaaand, last but not least, the chocolate stash! Edel specifically requested a partner from the US to fulfill her Butterfinger sweet tooth, so I happily obliged! Along with 3 different Butterfinger products I also included Ghiradelli dark chocolate and Russel Stover German Black forest truffle squares:

Thanks again Edel!

Now it's my turn to post the lovely items I received from crappiefisher!

This was crappiefisher's first swap and she did an AMAZING job!! She was really tuned in to my likes/dislikes and the end result was fabulous.

As I opened the box I was met with a beautifully-made messenger bag with a picture featuring my beverage of choice, cafe con leche. This is perfect for carting around my school books!
The inside has floral print, and the whole item is extremely well made. Denise, you are a much better seamstress than myself Tongue Please be assured that is my favorite part of the package!!

Here is an adorable little book made out of recycled coffee cup sleeves! Crappiefisher told me that she found this kit on etsy. It has inspired me to make my own book Cheesy

She also made me a picture frame in a rich, chocolately color. It's decorated with coffee beans and has the phrase, "A cup of coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well-spent" in 4 different languages. This is perfect for me because I'm a Spanish major, linguistics minor who's also studying Italian (hence a word nerd!):

We were on a similar wavelength considering we both made each other boxes! My coffees can now rest easy inside a box decorated with the word for "coffee" in several languages:

In addition to all of these homemade goodies, my partner also included coffee-themed stitch markers, 3 types of coffee ("Foglifter," Costa Rican, and Hazelnut), after-coffee cinnamon breath mints, and chocolate-covered espresso beans (that have already been sampled, yuuuum)!

Here are some of the store-bought goodies along with funky, humorous coasters and a coffee sleeve. All of my suitemates and I will put these to good use!

I hope you don't mind but I wanted to post another picture of the tea box I sent you, I was so proud of it!!

And here are a close-up of the cards. I can't believe you thought that they were store-bought!
(I take that as a compliment) Perhaps I can sell some on etsy!

Thank you SO much, crappiefisher! You did a wonderful job Cheesy

These are awesome! I've always wanted to do something crafty with Scrabble tiles, they're just begging to be made into something. Smiley

Thanks for sharing!

Everyone is coming up with such great stuff!

I especially love the chocolate envelopes, yuuuum!
What kind of paper did you make these out of, Hardyswanton01??

Pre-made coffee pods are such a great idea, plus they'd be perfect for traveling.

Why have I never thought of this before??! Thank you for inspiring me!
9  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: I <3 Tea/Coffee/Cocoa Swap Round 5 (sign ups CLOSED, send outs Feb 21) on: January 23, 2008 09:49:25 AM
Progress Report:

Only one more medium item to go!

Several items purchased + I'm planning to ask my local "tea expert" about possible teas!

I am having so much fun crafting for this swap--hardly a day goes by where I don't dream up yet another idea. (Don't worry, I haven't let myself get carried away, though!) I think it helps that my partner and I have written back and forth a few times because now I have a better idea of what to make for her. It's been somewhat of a challenge because she enjoys tea and I know nothing about it. However, I think that the wide "coffee, tea, or cocoa" arena has given me a lot of creative space.

I can't wait to see what you crafty people are concocting!

I think that we are going to have an awesome gallery; everyone seems so enthusiastic! Also, the fact that we're already on page 24 of this thread really speaks for itself...

As for my own crafty creations, they are coming along nicely. I went out on two chocolate scavenging trips this weekend and came back with some nice goodies for my partner. Seriously, there couldn't be a better time to drool over the candy aisles since it's so close to Valentine's Day.
