I am trying to make a tote bag to fill with cool yarns and give as a gift for a lovely elderly lady in my church. She crochets but was lamenting the fact that she couldn't get good yarn, so I found some for her and want to make a tote bag to put it all in. The bag I make will be sewn, I can't crochet to save my life! I have a great upholstery fabric I want to use, but I was wondering what you all feel like is your own favorite style, shape, size, add-ons etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
I have been playing with stamp carving for a few months now. I started with erasers and an exacto knife and have now upgraded to a proper cutter and proper stamp rubber. Here are a few of my favorites.
Ok, so I'm really not sure exactly where my newest creation should go, so I will try here! I have had a serious obsession with pincushions over the last week or so and have made close to a dozen! All have been pretty good, but the one that has been floating in my head for the last 48 hours had great potential! And she finally came to life and is exactly what I had in my head, so I give you my mommy porcu-pin-cushion and her twins!
The twins stick close to mom thanks to the magnets I sewed into mom and the steel washers I sewed onto the babies!
Hey everyone, I finally got up the guts to post a couple of my atc's. I have been lurking here for a while and have made a bunch of atc's but have been to scared to show them. So here they are, please be kind! There is actually a third one in the set but it has already been adopted!
Hey there from south Alabama! I have been lurking around on craftster for a while now (ok a few years now!) and have finally decided to come out in the open! Actually it is the ATC craze that got me! I would love to figure out how to show ya'll all the inspiration you have given me! I have made bags and jewelry from your awesome tutorials, played with learning to use watercolors, taken so many of the quilt patterns and been truely inspired, i am almost all the way through the alphabet in a personal ATC challenge!, and i have lost count of how many other things i have delved into after some inspiration here! You are wonderful for my artistic side but really bad on my wallet!! Thanks for all your inspiration, and soon hopefully i can show you some of my stuff!
I have been lurking here for quite a while and have finally come across a delimma that only ya'll can help me with. I have agreed to lead a study on the country of India and I really want to decorate with some authentic Indian crafts. I have found plenty of web sites with things to buy but as a single mom I can't afford that. Do any of you know of any sites or specific crafts I can make? I really appreciate any help you can give.
