A few friends and I decided to make a scrapbook for our friend's 17th birthday.  We went so crazy at the scrapbook store and spent $100+ on supplies,  Grin  Sooo.. 3  Re: There's no excuse not to play cards now!! (with Tutorial) in Completed Projects by juiceejoycee on: January 08, 2006 04:08:44 PM
i just finished making these cards and i'm in love with them!!!

(lol i didn't realize that the order would be reversed when i scanned them)

i got the pictures from this website: http://www.art-e-zine.co.uk/atcretro.html

i have a question: when you stuck the duraseal on, you only put it on the picture side, right?  and did it stick pretty sticky-ly?  i'm just wondering if it's sticky enough so the edges wouldn't peel away too easily.  i figured that since i don't have duraseal lying around the house at this moment, i shall just use that carpet-covering material for when people move and don't want to get the carpet dirty when they move the furniture around (forget what that's called).

4  Anyone know where I could find... in Beads: Discussion and Questions by juiceejoycee on: November 13, 2005 06:22:01 PM
I LOVE this necklace to death (I got it from American Eagle) and I want to make something like it for my friend's birthday.  Here's the necklace scanned:

Have any of you seen those antique-y bronze tube beads with loops (the ones that the charms are dangling off of) around?  I've seen threads about antiquing copper stuff, but first I'd still have to find copper tubes (http://www.firemountaingems.com/details.asp?PN=H152570FD -- that's the best I've found).  Any ideas for what else to put on the necklace that would match the same look?  Thanks a lot!

5  I have to show off my new pictures!! in Beads: Completed Projects by juiceejoycee on: October 16, 2005 03:36:57 AM
Soooo... I've discovered a new way to get pictures of my jewelry!  I might just be slow, but I used my scanner and I got so excited when I saw how sharp the details were and how perfect the lighting is and the little bit of shadows and...  Cool.  I'm starting to sell my stuff, so I'm still really unsure about my pricing.  Any suggestions for the first necklace?  I don't know how to factor in cost of the beads and time spent because those swirly beads on the outside strand are made of magazine paper (which were rather tedious to make!).  Thanks!!

(looong loopy necklace)

(bracelet)

(earrings)

6  Re: a tedious project with a tutorial lots of pictures in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by juiceejoycee on: August 07, 2005 03:57:24 PM
(Long time lurker, first time poster!  Grin)

Oohh, I'd like so say THANKS to marinechimp for posting this and reawaking my magazine paper beadmaking passion.  Hee!  My TV time is made much more productive now that I'm making beads at the same time.  I coated the beads with clear nailpolish so they're nice and shiny (when my mom first saw my necklace, she asked me where I bought those "unique swirly, multi-colored beads"  Cheesy).  Heh, by the way, Secret "Sparkle" deodorant magazine ads from teeny magazines make FABULOUS beads (the beads from this necklace are from the "Peach Shimmer" ad, hehe).

[I am officially in LOVE with my necklace--it goes so well with white...]
