21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Bottlecap Rings on: February 14, 2008 12:13:40 PM
The "unknown" bottlecap is from a Yuengling beer, likely the classic Lager.  It's America's Oldest Brewery, based out of Pottsville, PA.  I've taken a few of their caps and made cute magnets for my fridge.  I'd never thought of rings!!  So cute!
22  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! on: December 24, 2007 08:44:17 PM
I'm a dorky doctor (a surgeon in fact) so I had to get something medically related.  I found some old anatomical designs and used them to come up with the design.  I didn't get to watch any of it being done  because it's on my left ribs.  It wasn't really painful, but just annoying.  Oh, and it's really hard to take a picture of too!
the overall placement:

closer, just to get an idea of the great color job:

23  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: mold spores turned into cherry blossoms! refinished nightstand... on: December 24, 2007 02:47:21 PM
While my pieces are long gone to another happy child's home, FYI that was the nightstand piece.  there is a tall dresser, a wide dresser, a chest, a vanity, a regular bed, and even a four poster bed.  i got my set at Sears as a child and wouldn't be surprised if they're still selling it!!

great job on the recon, i'd welcome it into my home as quickly as i send the old version out the door
24  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Christmas client presents FINALLY finished! Super Duper Image Heavy! on: December 24, 2007 02:12:15 PM
Congrats on how well the business is doing!!!  Every time you post something, I get so jealous that you're too far to be Mayadog's walker!!  I'm sure you clients will LOVE these gifts (the people too).
25  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Kleenex Cozies on: December 23, 2007 06:54:02 PM
I found this tutorial online as well.  It's a little different than the one listed above but they both come out the same.  One might be easier than the other to embellish with ribbon and the like.

These look so well made!  Is there a pattern or tutorial out there for these?  I can't seem to get the measurements right to get a snug fit.
27  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Baroque Dress made from Tyvek and Target Bags on: December 20, 2007 07:58:59 PM
I was wondering how many different post offices you'd have to steal from to get enough to make that dress!!

I want to use it to make some weather-proof type clothing.

oh, and i recommend use paper clips or binder clips for these types of materials.

again, great job!
28  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, and a Stingray! Pic Heavy! on: December 20, 2007 07:49:29 PM
great job on your first embroidery!  but where did you get the pattern (or design) for the anatomical heart?
29  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Baroque Dress made from Tyvek and Target Bags on: December 20, 2007 07:29:25 PM
I love the effort you put into that dress.  Now I do have wonder where you found that many Tyvek bags?  Were you able to buy the material in yards, or are they seriously tons of inside-out Fedex bags?
30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Ruffled Amy Butler Apron on: December 20, 2007 02:30:57 PM
was this from an Amy Butler pattern or just her fabrics?  it's really cute!!
