Although i'm a dog person (and actually allergic to cats), i appreciate the kitties very much and would LOVE to use your pattern to make cute little "meeces" for my neighbors and their 6 (yes, six) cats.  i can't wait for it!!

Great work!!

The jeans are a great idea.  I might have to give it a shot.

The devil to the left is a great disembowel-er.  She's only got carcasses left: a cow carcass, a bunny carcass (she really likes one ear in particular), a george bush carcass (woohoo), and she gave up on donald rumsfeld and completely tore him to bits after disemboweling.

Hope the jeans hold up!

AARRRGGGHH!!!  I love these little guys!  I've been searching for a copy of Craphound #5 for forever!  I'm a doctor and have some crazy obsession with vintage hearts.  I even have a huge vintage anatomical heart tattoo on my side.

If anyone or anyone you know has a Craphound #5 they're willing to part with for a price...PM me!!

18  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / McCall's 3883 Formal/Evening Dress on: March 02, 2008 05:26:10 PM
i posted this dress in the completed clothing too, but i wanted to get the point across that it was super easy.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=231119.0

i think there were only 6 major parts for the dress/lining.  there were a few misc part for facing and underlining for the bust.

it's fairly simple to assemble, and the directions were mostly easy to understand, but there was only mistake: when putting the "back" together, the wording switched the piece numbers, but the pictures had the right ones.

the fit was fairly good.  it's a little large in the bust, but it's still very wearable.  i'm not sure i'm going to alter it, or just find a padded push-bra.

Overall, a fairly easy pattern for making a simple, clean, formal dress that will work for many occasions.

Questions?  just ask!

This was made from McCall's 3883 with some lovely fabric that I picked up on supersale.  It is lined, but I assure you that it still wasn't hard.  Sorry for the MacBook pics, the little doors on my camera lens won't open!!

Thanks for looking!  Questions and comments always welcome.  Okay, except for comments about my poor modeling skills and lack of facial expressions!!
