4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Moment of Zen!!! on: September 15, 2005 10:59:10 AM
I was recently given 4(50g) balls of Berrocco Zen color Kawakubo blue ribbon yarn. I tried doing this pattern http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/deco_crochet_bag.htm but the yarn was too stretchy Sad Does anyone have any ideas for this? Its about $65.00 worth of yarn, so I would like to make something worthwhile!!! I wanted to make a Christmas gift for my 22 yr old daughter.  Thanks fellow craftsters...I dont knit, only crochet!!! Thanks again everyone!!!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet Cat Cave on: August 26, 2005 12:37:10 PM
I would like to take the pattern for the ring cavehttp://www.crochetme.com/issue_1/containers.html and convert it to a snuggle den for my black cat "Spooky". However, I am terrible at freeform. Can anyone guestimate how many chains I should start out with?  The rest of the pattern should follow along quite easily!!! By the way, Spooky is a rather big boy, weighing in at a whopping 20 pounds.  I know you will have his undying gratitude Smiley  Thanks in advance Smiley
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Quitting smoking and keeping my hands busy!!! on: August 26, 2005 09:01:54 AM
Hi Everyone!  I am a newbie so please bear with me!! I havent had a cigarette in 8 days and I am going crazy.  I crochet but I dont feel like having to pay attention to counting stitches etc,  so I got out my spool knitter.......I thought it would take my mind off things....but I would like to feel like I am working towards something other that a boring placemat or rug........everyone is so creative here can anyone give me a suggestion for something cool or funky that I could do with miles of I-cord?  I would like to make a funky ugly doll or an ipod cozy with it......thanks  Huh
