MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / The 124'' Waistband caper.

so i was making http://home.earthlink.net/~lilinah/Rashid/salwar.gif those pants... these are supposed to be small at the ankle and wide at the hips (unlike modern salvar, the ones i'm working on are 16th c. ottoman.), with a drawstring. however, instead of quartering my wasit measurement (plus some cause of the gathered waistband) like a sane person, i halved it instead. thus i ended up with a pair of pants with 124'' to be gathered. yeah, not gunna work, so i have to take out all my sewing and move the center front seam in and then reslope the leg part. fun. thats what i get for trying to think in 85 degree weather when i'm not used to it again yet.

i've got scones in the oven right now, so heres hopeing this works. if it taste alright, i might do a permanent subs. in a recipie i have, since i don't really buy buttermilk very often.

CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Hair-dying apron quotes?
on: February 11, 2006 09:08:48 PM
So, since i'm apparently the local non-pro hair-dye expert, i figured i'd make myself an apron to use when i do other peoples hair.
i'm looking for smartass quotes to stick on the front of the thing, which i will probably put on in bleach pen (cause that'd work with the theme)
any ideas?
