Catpants and I did a swap this month... actually, it was probably April, but anyway. She wanted a needle roll and I wanted some of her beautiful yarn and jewelry.

This is what I got from her:
Hand Spun Yarn - the colors are just so lovely in person.

Knitted and beaded wire jewelry - i wish I could get a better photo

This is what she got from me.
A needle roll:

Thanks for the great swap, catpants!

32  Re: Sweat shop swap (SSS) round 9! Closes May 16th in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by SewingLori on: May 16, 2007 06:39:20 AM
The needle books I am offering will  be like this. (this is just an example from a previous swap *waves to Lorib*)

The book will be made of a sturdy fabric on the outside, such as corduroy, twill, or some weird linen type stuff I have. The inside is made of a quilters cotton and has 4 wool pages. There will be a pocket on the inside for buttons or small scissors and a bird or flower appliqud on the outside. I'm only offering 5 items this round.

I got a great Angel package from LittleSailor and it arrived soooooo fast. She must have knitting machine hands. Tongue She sent a calamitory?calimatory?calomitry? You know... one of those from a few issues back of Knitty. I don't know how to spell it. Anyway... I love it and wish it was colder outside so I could justify a hat. Smiley

Here it is!
The top of my head with my sweet roots!

A less blurry shot:

And the beautiful entire thing.

She also sent the rest of the yarn from the skein and a little sheep ornament.

Thanks, Lindsey! You are the best! I owe you one. Smiley

A shadowbox with an owl and the perfect fabric to match my bedroom.

A beautiful throw pillow for my bed.

A ceramic te-lite lantern (have you l love owls and birds yet?)

JARS OF THE BEST STUFF IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

The first jar is buttons buttons buttons
The second jar is full of whimsies! Game pieces, flowers, paper, crystals, buttons, you name it... it is in there.
The third jar is vintage matchbooks. My grandmother collected them and I wanted her collection when she passed. My stingy uncle took it, and now I don't get them until he dies. Booooo! Anyway, Leah helped pacify me until then.

The whimsies!

An owl and a birdie cookie cutter! YAHOOOOOOOO! I've got sugar cookie dough "chilling" in the fridge right now.

The cutest button wreath!

Pincushions...! Yahoo!

Vintage birdie salt and pepper shakers and my favorite birdie egg blue rick rack.

Now... Am I the luckiest or what... You know what else? I just realized I forgot a few photos. She also sent a bag of one inch buttons and the coolest tin tile clock for my room. I'll be back shortly to credit those!

I LOVE YOU LEAH! Smiley

Well, since I sent so long ago, I thought I'd post picture of what I sent my partner. I haven't heard if she has received, but I sure hope she has. She is in Croatia and I am in Utah, USA.

She asked for wall pocket organizers. I've been seeing this style around the Internet blog land, so I mimicked it.

I didn't sent the bamboo to hang it on because she said she could buy something cheaper that I could send it.

Anyway, I hope she got it and if she did, I hoped she like it.
