3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Spot the Speaker! on: July 09, 2010 07:25:54 AM
This came from the current issue of bust magazine. It is a fake birdcage with fake flowers and fake bird hiding portable ipod speakers. I didn't do it perfectly, but it works and I like it!

it was a tight fit, because i bought the birdcage and speakers seperately. basically you cover the bottom of the birdcage with styrofoam, with room for the speakers in the middle. then you cover it with moss and fake flowers. ta-dah!

I was just wondering if anyone had some tips on applying ric rac. would i just sew it on normally? that seems too easy for me, plus i would assume that i'd see the thread and it would be a straight line and ohno.
thank you, everybody, in advance!
