Cutting, folding, putting together, and sewing these bags take such a long time >_< Yet I just can't stop folding old magazines! hehe
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Dress Jewelry Holders (lots of images) on: December 10, 2008 08:26:30 AM
WOW! I haven't posted on Craftster is like years I think! Anyway, lately I have been obsessively making lots of things .
I love jewelry and I make so many different kinds that I just never know where to put them! I hate stuffing the in boxes or drawers where they get tangled up or I can't see them. I saw inspiring but really expensive dress jewelry holders and I wanted one so badly. Sadly I don't have the budget to pay $60 for a jewelry holder. SO.... I made some for myself and for sale in my area:

They were all sculpted by myself with clay and I just added some wires. The first jewelry holder's dress was sewn by myself with my own pattern Cheesy The other dresses are from old barbie dolls...haha And the purple/gold/red ones are purely clay that was painted Cheesy

More to come when I get more time to make them!

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Silky Blue Bustier Purse! on: March 29, 2006 07:18:15 PM
did you use some extra stiff interfacing??  It is so cute! A friend bought me a pink bustier purse for my birthday last year and I've been considering copying it too but have been a bit intimidated.  Yours looks great!

aw thank you, i didn't feel like using any stiff interfacing and i thought this was good enough since the lining was pretty stiff anyway.. i'm not sure what type of fabric it's called but it's almost as thick as denim

That is really clever. I adore it. I'd love to see one made of sprite cans, hehe.

Thanks I did make one out of Sprite cans before I made this Coca Cola one... I'll post that up later Grin

Aw thanks I got the cards in the toy section with other playing cards

How did you make it?

And awesome job~ It look really cool!

I used strong clear duct tape to put it together and it holds all my junk in there just fine  Grin
