The colours of the measuring tapes are lovely!
3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Tree Wall Hanging on: June 02, 2007 08:07:27 AM
Lovely! It reminds me of Gustav Klimt.

This is a lovely idea. I'd like to see some of your other "... day" ideas. I especially like "Don't look back day" and "Ransom note day"!

Has this bag, by any chance, been made with a Simplicity pattern? It looks very similar to the patter that I'm using for my GCSE Textiles at the moment and if it turns out like that I can't wait!

I honestly love the Michael Angelo inspired earrings and the paint pallet earrings, they remind me of a brooch I made.

It looks really, really good. Quite professional too. But I'm intrigued, is it the left or right headphone?!

It doesn't seem like quite the same technique, all of x__monique's beads are covered. If she is willing to share her technique, I'd be interested in seeing it. It's very clever.

It's the same technique, yes, but where it looks as thought x__monique has knotted her fabric after inserting a bead through the tube other people have simply threaded a bead over the tube. : )

Sorry, I have a couple of questions : ) ;

Is the actual doll face patch quite sturdy and thick?
And how hard/easy was it to sew the bias tape around the patch? Did you use a sewing machine or was it by hand?

I cut the face out and added black bias tape around it.

Oh, that's a lovely idea! I have a few Girl Guide patches that look like that. I love the bag overall, and the patch on the front makes the bag, well done.
