1  UNITED STATES / Indiana / Re: Any live in Northern Indiana, if so post here! on: September 22, 2008 01:38:38 PM
Hi, I'm Kim. I'm 27 and I live in Porter County, IN - in Valparaiso. I'm very close to Valparaiso University. I love all kinds of crafts, and I'm always trying out new ways and ideas for crafting. I make jewelry, cards, decopodge, I'm a beginner sewer, I crochet and do a little knitting, I like to use photoshop for crafting as well, watercolor, paint, and all kinds of other stuff that I can't think of at the moment.  Smiley

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Homecoming mums! (super image heavy) on: November 12, 2007 02:31:33 PM
Grin OH these bring back so so many fond memories! When I was in TX in 6th grade we made these for homecoming then I moved to FL and they had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned making one for homecoming! I didnt want to stick out like a sore thumb so I didnt make one all through highschool, You made me smile! AND you did an excelent job!

I lived in Texas too (The Colony - suburb of Dallas-where are you from in TX?) and they did mums like crazy there every year for homecoming! Michaels would be filled with supplies to concoct your very own Mum! Usually if you had a boyfriend he would buy you a mum, but I didn't date in high school so good old mom made my sister and I each a mum for homecoming. It was great! We moved to Indiana my senior year and nobody did homecoming mums there either. They make it so much more fun and festive!

Not to get sidetracked by highschool memories, but your Mums are so cool! I love 'em! I like that you added something special that pertained to each friend. Great job!
