I'm mostly a beader, but I've begun a really torrid affair with vintage plastic and now I can't get enough of it.  I just had to share my latest.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / a little signpost on: August 11, 2006 03:27:26 PM
I was looking at this really nice jewelry the other day, done by a Swedish artist who uses Swedish pottery shards circa. 1960-1975 and makes those into pendants and tie tacks and all kinds of things. The designs on the pottery are sweet, but bold, graphic, but pleasant to look at.  So I thought to myself, why not translate that idea into my medium?  This is my riff on Scandinavian design.

I'm working with the same inspiration for my bead-a-long project, as well.

This is a recent one I'm enjoying. I really like using the wirework this way, it's an adaptation off a cuff bracelet technique floating around out there, I'm not sure who originated it.
