My partner received, so I'm posting the thingy I made... I found out she was a fan of cephalopods, and even though I think a jellyfish is probably classified as something else, it's an invertebrate and it's squishy, so I thought maybe that was close enough Wink

I tend to work on my projects in public places a lot (bars, restaurants, bars, etc.) and I was out to lunch when I finished him, so please note the paper napkin background... classy!

Right after I took this photo, my camera batteries died, so I didn't get a shot of the embroidery I did inside the top of his squishy self. Also, he looks a little cooler when he is hanging by his loop, rather than lying there beached on the paper napkins. So, in fine craftster tradition, please accept my apologies for this crappy photo.  Undecided

Here's the stuff I sent to Digital Goddess. Early reports are that everything was favorably received!

The traditional monster bag:

And other goodies... a little stuffed key fob thingy, felt buttons & teeny stickers:

Okay, here they finally are... pictures of the one tiny thing I received from tiph_thompson! His name is Pushkin RRR! He came with a little booklet explaining how to use his stabbies (skull for bad stuff, flower stabby for happy goodness). I'm posting a lot of pictures because, quite frankly, he is awesome. I tried to get a stabby action shot with the flower pin in his messy hair (guarding against bad hair days) but they were all blurry Sad I was especially amazed by all of the detail in the embroidery work and applique. I'll quit explaining and just show you!

He took a liking to this teacup. I think he thinks it is a hot tub:

Here's what happened when my box came from viciouskittie... (It's an image-heavy post, so bear with me!)

First, the kitties jumped up on the dining room table and everything was sniff-tested.

Some things were batted around a little, and it was then concluded that the items required further sniff-testing before they were officially approved. (In this photo, you get a good shot of the fuzzy pac man monster's adorable face.)

Isabel got bored with all of her sister's sniffing, and decided to claim the black furry mousie as her own.  This photo is mid-stalk and pre-attack.

In the brawl that ensued, the mousie was knocked to the floor, where my roommate's cat found it and began hitting it with his back legs. Big mistake... Smack smack! Bite bite! My toy! A heated altercation over viciouskittie's rad cat toys!

Lastly, she sent me a highly amusing magnet of three adorable cut-out kittens. It went immediately on my fridge, of course! (How cute is this? Seriously!)

Smiley Isabel, Chrissy and I all thank you so much for the goodies! Smiley

76  Re: The Little Visitor Swap Round 3! (Signups CLOSED, Sendout 06.09) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by millik on: April 12, 2006 12:59:13 PM
It's good that Oxalis is visiting a house with other turtles! So cute!

Also, I'm pleased to hear that my Herbert arrived safely. I did expect he would eat most of the packing peanuts. He seems to eat just about anything and everything. He had such an awesome time filling out his bio for craft_t_chic! I was especially pleased to see that his likes out number his dislikes at least 3:1.

Oh my goodness... I am so excited to see that Bruce is on his way! His little backpack has got to be one of the best things about life. Wink

Herbert tried to take the red-eye flight to Cleveland last night, but he left the house by himself and could not figure out how to check-in for his flight at the kiosk. I will try to help him out today so that he finally gets on his way. It looks from the photo as if he perhaps accidentally chose the Spanish option on the machine:

Herbert has to find his suitcase! He is leaving in less than a week!

Here's a portrait I drew of him when I got him about a year and a half ago. He still pretty much looks the same.

Hooray! Craftster is back up! I can finally post pictures of my goodies!

First, here is all the stuff I received from cortag04 in this swap:

A cute t-shirt that says "I am GORGEOUS" (the "I am" is an iron-on and the "gorgeous" is hand-painted on there with puffy paint); the most awesome pair of underpants EVER; a photo frame and a necklace (not crafted, but still cute). Please ignore my cat's tail on the left.

And here is a close-up of the photo frame--she hand-lettered all these cool, positive sayings!:

Second, here's what I sent out to her:

A set of ceramic decoupaged Hilda coasters/trivets in a matching box; a notepad full of body-positive sayings and with a few "mini-posters" sandwiched in; and a felt cupcake thing, just because:

Here's another photo of the coasters:

And, here's a link to a PDF file with all of the inner pages of the notepad on the first page, and the cover and the mini-posters on the second page. I printed on 8 1/2 by 11 paper and then cut it in 1/4s and glued it together with PVA to make the notepad: http://www.lucidfruit.com/crafts/bodypositive-notepads.pdf

This swap was fun! Many thanks cortag04 for being an awesome swap partner! Smiley

I finally got around to getting these pictures off of my camera, so here are the notecards I made for americandemockracy. From the top, they are gay salmon, penguins, sheep, flamingos, owls and grizzly bears:
