1  Re: Record Gift Box in What the heck can I do with THIS? by serenityinsleep on: February 18, 2006 02:53:00 PM
I never did the width/height part, honestly. Embarrassed

Just click the "Insert Image" button, put your cursor after the beginning tag (which would be [img]  ) paste the URL of the picture and make sure the end tag is after the URL (which would be the tag, minus the space inbetween the g and ] ) I hope that makes sense. I just can't type the end tag completely without it actually READING it as a tag and trying to place a pic, y'know?  Roll Eyes

The board doesn't accept/use that sort of HTML, so that'd be the problem. If you don't know the appropriate tags, just click on the right buttoms under the formatting tools and it's a biiiiiiiiig help.  Smiley

You don't suck.  Tongue Just after the url to the image, do [/img] instead of [img]. It "ends" the tag.  Smiley

5  Angelic cards. in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by serenityinsleep on: November 22, 2005 10:37:59 PM
So, I belong to an art club at my college. This year we're trying to sell cards (among other things) to raise money for our trip to Chicago in March. I've made 3 so far, but only 2 are really worth showing.

I'm wanting to do maybe 3 more different versions/types/whatever of angels, and then hopefully I can copy them a few times each to make 4 sets of 5 cards each.

What do y'all think so far?

Edited to add: They're not colored in yet. I'm not sure if I want to color them (probably in colored pencils) or just leave them as-is... Any suggestions? Opinions? Advice?

Here's my second Panta. I made it with Noro silk garden and I'm upset that my digi is on the fritz. I had to take this crappy cellphone pic  Embarrassed

7  Bernat Disco brown yarn in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by serenityinsleep on: November 14, 2005 06:26:56 PM
Alright, I've got a proposition for you all. Providing you're interested...

I just received my free 1.75 ounces of Bernat Disco brown yarn (along with free patterns for a bag, pom-pom scarf, and crochet wrap & Mary Maxim catalog.) I've realized that I probably won't ever use it (I'm too busy to even begin to learn to crochet   Cry ) so I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in trading it for maybe a funky-print piece of fabric, or something along those lines.

If I don't get any trade offers, I suppose I'll go ahead and just offer it for free. I don't want it to go to waste.  Undecided

Anyhow, here's a small picture of what it looks like:

Also, a quick note: because I'm an incredibly poor college student living in the United States, I suppose I'll have to restrict it to only people that live in the U.S. Sorry about that, other people...

8  Re: Show off your hair! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by serenityinsleep on: November 02, 2005 06:22:27 PM
Past hair:

Pink.Red-orange.Light brown.
Diff. red-orange + some black. (I'm on the right.)

I don't have any new ones that really show off my hair, sorry. It's just plain brown ugliness, anyway.  Wink I'll probably dye it pink again for the winter months.

9  Owl "slogan" ideas? in Get Product and Website Opinions by serenityinsleep on: October 24, 2005 11:09:19 PM
Okay, I've entered two entries to a tshirt design contest, and I'm working on a third. It's of an owl that I created (then touched up) using only letters of the same font (I forget which font) for my graphic design class last year.

The problem is, I don't want just the owl on the tshirt. I was hoping to find some sort of slogan or saying that would fit well and is clever/cute. Maybe something along the lines of, "Give a hoot - give your fellow man the one-finger salute!" or something like that??  Huh

This is the image:

Any ideas? Suggestions? Criticisms? Heeeeeelp.

Note: I'm placing the owl at the bottom of the tshirt design, so feet aren't necessary.  Cheesy

Looks really soft and cushion-y.

And ooooh, I love those color combinations. It reminded me of one of my first purses I made... check this out:

You did a great job.  Smiley
