I'm not having any beadwork on my veil, I'm just having one big plain long cathedral length one. Nice!

I'm definitely going to have to add a couple of needles and some yarn - knitting calms me down!!

yeah, for $5 each, I'm thinking of looking at the Pound Store. I'm also moving in to town, so I'm sure I can find some somewhere.

Oh yes, and I think I could use the wine bottle in the middle surrounded by the wine glasses and it would look pretty darn nice! Thanks!

Miss Ninja - I DO like those, and I think I saw a kit from Michael's that you just laod in to your printer with a coloured band around the card, which I can get when I'm in Florida, and I guess I'm going to go with that! My Aunt does cardmaking and she has a ribbon punch, which will look nice to thread the ribbon through!

Also, I WAS thinking about a stir-fry. My Fh wants Indian, but I don't know how well I can pull that off. I DO have a nice Chana Masala recipe, i think I'll make that, too. Smiley

Oh, good idea!! We're painting our new apartment some time soon, so that'll be brilliant!

I claim FrogPuddle

I'd like anything, really. I just moved from the US to the UK. This should be FUN.

1. The US - Mamwich sloppy joe mix, canned (PLEASE (!!!) make sure it's vegan! Including NO lactic acid. That would be super-helpful!); something crafted with a collage of stuff from Spin magazine (ecspecially Chuck Klosterman's writings and the White Stripes); Knitting needles, size 8 or 10 (metal preferably); A black satin sash to match David's Bridal's sash, or even that sash FROM the store, to fit a 45" waist.

2. The Netherlands - if you live ANYWHERE near Groningen PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE a good record from Platenworm. I would LOVE you. Forever. Not that there's too many Dutch people on here. heehee!

3. France - these candies I had once. They're like peppermint-flavolured sugar cubes. YUM!; A beret, whether you made it yourself or not; a post card!

4. Spain - any sort of literature or magazine in Spanish - necesito practicar porque no soy en un clase hoy en dia!; if in Barcelona, something from the Dali museum (post card, anything!)

5. Canada - Tire dollars. It's a big inside joke!; anything crafted!

6. Asia - those chocolate-filled Koala cookie things; post cards!; chopsticks; sake glasses? maybe?

7. Any other country - something unique to your country. I'm all about kitsch!

Also, I am getting married, so anything you think I could use would be REALLY nice. My colours are ivory and black. THANKS!
9  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Re: US to UK English translation! Aaaaarrghhhh! on: March 30, 2007 06:47:49 AM
I just moved from the US to the UK. My favorite thing ever is "let" vs. "rent". I still giggle when I see signs that say "TO LET" because it looks like "toilet" to me.
Speaking of, when I first came to the UK to visit my boyfriend, I was walking from my gate at Gatwick to the customs area and saw a sign that said "toilets". I was SO shocked that you guys didn't use a more polite word! we say "restrooms".

But in terms of crafting, ohmygod. I can't knit from English patterns. NO WAY.
