71  Drunkard's Path Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by kitty1256 on: May 07, 2006 01:43:25 PM
Seriously....that's what it's called.  Acutally....i can't really take full credit for this one.  My mom helped me out a lot on all those curves!  I mostly just cut out all that fabric.

72  Re: Need Help! Curtain Tie-Backs [Some images, not many] in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by kitty1256 on: May 07, 2006 01:41:02 PM
My mom found some pretty pink ribbon for me, and I cut it in half, put a tumb tack in the middle of each piece, and I now have curtain tie-backs that were super simple and didn't cost me anything.  Plus, I can just un-tie the bows and let the curtains closed!

Ok, so I just moved home from college today and found some new curtains that my mom made for my room and  i really want to be able to pull them to the sides with some tie-backs or hooks or something, but i've been looking at Meijer (a superstore in Michigan) and Walmart and places like that, and its like $10 for the hooks.  Couldn't I just staple some ribbon to the wall or somethign?  Anybody have any good ideas for me?  Here's a picture of the curtains:

And pushed to the side of my desk

Sorry the pictures are so dark.  I guess there wasn't as much light in my room as I thought.  But you get the idea.

Should I xstitch the black or the white first?  If it makes a difference, I am stitching it on white xstitch fabric.

And here is a picture of the design:

75  Help for new craftster: T-shirt reconstruction ideas needed! in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by kitty1256 on: April 14, 2006 08:26:36 PM
Hello everyone!  I am quite new here, but have lately become obsessed with this site!  It has inspired me so much to start crafting again!  Anyway, I have this shirt that I really hate but I would love to spiff it up and I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions.  Its just a plain black t-shirt, but the problem is the huge lettering across it that says "the.theatre.project, love. perfect. change, 2006".  Any suggestions would be awesome!

Thanks!
