Hello! I courageously? stupidly? cluelessly? volunteered to make a few pint glasses for a Roller Derby awards ceremony on June 2. I need to get  this logo (below, on my flickr) or something similar to it on to the glass, I've had no luck stenciling so far, I tried taping it inside the glass and tracing it with a paint pen and it looks a little too, uh, homemade. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I realize that lack of planning on my part doesn't constitute an emergency on yours, but I figured it was worth a shot!

I agree, the placement is fabulous (what a lucky hole!  ) and the bird is even more divine- great work!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I'm in the process of making one with sort of a disturbing "body fluid bleed out" pattern on it  (nice theme, huh?) and I'll definitely make one with a blood pool... maybe it can be my set... one is the scene of the crime, one is bystander and the other is just tainted by the aftermath... lovely! I think I'll put some on my etsy in time for valentines day, not sure they would be hot right now. Any other ideas gladly welcomed, I like my crafts creepy, that's for sure!

For the blood I used speedball silkscreen ink and splattered it from a brush... I think I might try to fill blown eggs with red paint and shoot them with a bb gun over/ in front of the pillowcase, just to see what effect I get... whacking a sponge didn't make much of a splatter at all, I feel really stupid just typing that. Heh.

I like this... but I'm curious to hear what others think of it. I digitized the design and embroidered it on my machine, I made the pillowcase as well (woo woo, right?  )

Here's my girl in her hoodie- ignore the messy sewing room and the fact that she's naked except the sweatshirt (she's a nudist, I guess  )

It's not a very cute pic of her, but it's the best I could get since she's in constant motion!

THAT IS THE COOLEST CAKE EVER! I am so impressed! That is amazing! I would love to see a step by step guide to making the rats, it would be a wicked Halloween project!

I drew up the bird and digitized it, then stitched it out on my embroidery machine. I'm very happy with it, I made one for my daughter and I put one up on ebay just to see if anyone else thinks they are cool! I'd love feedback- the last picture is my business

My sewing machine is about to die and I've convinced myself that I'd like to get another machine w/ some embroidery capabilities- I'd even settle for one that has a few bulit in alphabets- does anyone have any recommendations?

Hey, thanks for all the great ideas!  That flooring is fantastic, if not for the tabletops then just for our own kitchen floor! Thanks for the links- I'm still on the lookout for wallpaper or wrapping paper in the 50s boomerang styles... it did find a website of someone who can print it for us in large rolls, so that's another option, although it's sort of pricey and we're not sure if these babies will sell yet (well, to anyone other than us) I think we're going to give the "topping it with plexi" a try too, since we want our tables to be for daily use and fully functional! We've got a few tables that the wood is bad and needs to go as it is, so really we'll just cut a new shallower piece of wood, decorate it, top it with the plexi and seal it, then reapply the chrome banding. Thanks again- keep those ideas coming!
