1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Velvety coffin bag! on: November 01, 2006 07:43:49 AM
Arg what time is it I'm in the UK and my camera has been wonky!
*quickly* this is my bag:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/42326540/ incase didn't work!

Its wood inside, with velvet glued and sewn on the outside and inside.
First I made the inside frame, out of 2 coffin shaped 1cm thick pieces of wood and 2mm thick for the sides and bottom, I believe.
There is purple crushed velvet on the inside and on the ankh detail here:

Here is the inside, there are foam cushions glued in under the lining material to cushion anything in the bag from breaking! You can also see the zip.

[edit] I totally forgot the end! This is how the chain strap is fastened on; D rings and a crazy metal template thing with screws. Note the decorative purple strip on the end pieces!! I think that's it. Hope I wasn't too late Cry

Thankyou for looking! ^_^
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / When the wings of an angel burn, painted top on: December 09, 2005 05:38:14 PM
Yeah, the name was suggested by somebody far away who I miss but I don't think misses me *sob* lol
Well, anyway this is the back of the top

It still looks like a plain top from the front, any suggestions for an angel-themed caption/drawing/design for the front? I was gonna go with "When the wings of an angel burn" but yeah then I'd look like I was obsessed  Wink

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/24337939/ if u can't see the pic!! What do you think fairy wings in pink would look like? fluorescent pink squeezy bottle paint because I am obsessed with it!!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Militant Veggi painted top :) on: December 09, 2005 05:32:42 PM
Ooh have been lurking for a while, doing uni work and having no time to craft! bah! Also deviantart is very...consuming!! So bear with me if my pics don't work first time  Undecided

This is my Militant Veggi top Cheesy I think he's really cute with his tomatoeyness and gun lol  Cheesy
It's that ketchuppy type fabric paint out of the squeezy bottles and I can't get enough plain tops to customise atm!! Got some more the other day, and some shocking pink fluorescent paint...aaand glitter paint. Oh I will be having much fun!!
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/24334476/ for anyone who can't see the pic!
oh yeah, it's just a black cap sleeve top, but I put the design up a lil high, *DOH*

Any suggestions for more hardcore vegetarian/vegan prints/pictures?  Wink I have many veggi/vegan friends and oh me god how fast is xmas creeping up?!
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Too cute to be a peg bag! Stripey :) on: September 10, 2005 12:10:14 PM
So I'm being forced to move back to uni a lot sooner than I thought, and eep! No peg bag! So like any crafster I made one... my style...  Grin
http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=ybvujr&outx=800&quality=70
And the shot of me wearing it (haha) It can also be worn over the shoulder (plz excuse me tripping over the stool in the background in the pic  Cool)
http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=ybvujt&outx=800&quality=70
It's made from red and black stripey material, it's a little thin, I just bunged my phones in it for the 2nd shot and you can see them lol! It fastens with snap fastners and the strap works by doubling up through some D rings I found in my sewing box.
I tried it today and managed to fit 42 pegs in it, hope that's enough! But you can peg more to the flap and to the strap if need be for easy peg-access whilst rushing to get clothes pegged out whilst cooking dinner watching tv reading a book and crafting some cushion covers from the same material!  Wink Yeah you know how it is hehe  Cheesy
Hope you like  Smiley may make another one for out on the town! Lined, of course so you can't see my phones and whatnot!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Jellyfish strap top *cute* on: September 01, 2005 01:05:32 PM
Heylo, I made this yesterday and am currently wearing it  Grin even tho it isn't finished.....
http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=ybngj9&outx=800&quality=70
Here it is on my duct tape lady, Raevyn  Wink, on the back it says "Beautiful yet sinister", which is a quote from one of the most awesome people I know, he's super cool, known him most my life but we've only just started talking properly! Anyway we got talking about how everybody hates jellyfish (he's a surfer  Wink ) but they are pretty too.... anyway I hope you like my jellyfish!

Do you think mr jellyfish needs more tentacles? maybe chainstitched (I think thats the word) like his moon jellyfish top... which used to be an ugly underwear set that I got as a gift and threw in the back of a drawer lol! I thought the lace made a good jellyfish bit! The strap top was just plain before, and his tentacles are clear with silver glitter plastic tubing... used in falls and bracelets apparently...

More pics here (didnt want to make huuuuge post) http://otherside.fotopic.net/c655934.html
Just ignore the sunset... Ive no idea how that got in there !!
Thankyou  Cheesy feedback please Smiley all this top needs is my seal of approval and a lil msg on the hem and its done yay
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Backless corset/bustier I made for my friend! on: August 12, 2005 04:53:41 AM
Ok, first proper post  Grin here goes...
I make things for my friend's birthdays, because its fun and also I'm sick of going into shops and not finding what I want! I made this corset/bustier with a little help from you crafty people here and some problem-solving! I will attempt pictures now...
http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=yb536i&outx=800&quality=70
This is the front, it looks big on me coz I'm a size smaller than my friend and I didn't have her handy to model it hehe... and the thing on my lip is a piercing, looks wierd in the pic!
http://images.fotopic.net/?iid=yb5366&outx=800&quality=70
This is the back, please excuse the strap marks... I can't get rid of them!!
You can't really see the trousers in the picture but I made those too. All of this without the aid of a sewing machine coz the only one I have is a travelling one with no needle, d'oh!
I used zip ties for boning on the front and back, and if you want to see almost a tutorial (I took LOTS of pictures!) then go see my fotopic gallery at http://otherside.fotopic.net/c649786_1.html

I'm not really sure how this works but all responses welcome  Smiley thankyou!
