1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Shop the Swap 57**Discussion Thread** on: December 23, 2011 09:38:48 AM
Happy Holidays, everyone!

I'm thinking about coming back after a looooong hiatus from Craftster and STS (nothing personal, just super busy and short on funds  Wink).

Just wondering if there's any interested in t-shirt scraps?  I have a few dozen tops-of-shirts in great colors after making scarf necklaces.  Can do flat rate boxes...several...f ull ones  Grin
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / T-shirt scraps? on: October 26, 2011 07:00:38 PM
The search feature isn't working, so sorry if this has been asked already  Wink

I made a bunch of t-shirt necklaces recently and now have a few dozen "half t-shirts", basically from the sleeve seam up, left over.  Any ideas for what to do with them?  I really don't have space to store them until I have time to make anything, so maybe someone knows of a charitable cause that could use them?  We have a locale creative reuse place, but they won't accept ex-clothes.

Thanks!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: question about contact paper stencil on dresser on: November 28, 2010 12:52:38 PM

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / question about contact paper stencil on dresser on: November 14, 2010 02:01:24 PM
Ok, so I have a light colored wooden dresser that I want to stencil an intricate design on with contact paper.  The negative space will remain the wood color, so I won't be able to touch up any bleeding paint under the stencil.  Is there a clear primer or something that I can paint over the contact paper first to keep paint from bleeding?
Thanks!

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Shop the Swap 41 **Discussion Thread** on: August 13, 2010 07:35:26 PM
Ok, I'm back after buying a house Smiley and getting teeth pulled Sad.
Just shopping for now until I have more crafting time and work on my swap budget - but I points to spend!

Can anyone do a custom metal stamped pendant (sterling or otherwise - I'd provide it if sterling, or compensate with extra points) with a phrase?

I'm also looking for 1 or 2 skeins or Berroco Softwist or Cascade Pima Tencel in a medium to dark shade of gray.

And, I large chain for a necklace in some variation of silver, suitable for making something like this -

I'm sure I'll think of other stuff as I start moving and furnishing my sewing room (my very own sewing room!!!).

Haven't caught up with the thread yet, but best wishes, congrats, good luck, and condolences to anyone who needs them!

9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Shop the Swap 40 **DISCUSSION THREAD!** on: July 28, 2010 03:19:25 PM
Random crafty question for anyone who paints walls/furniture:
Somewhere, long ago, probably on HGTV, there was a tip about painting SOMETHING over the edge of painter's tape to help keep paint from bleeding under the tape.  Problem is, can't remember what that SOMETHING is.  Google didn't help.  Any ideas?

I'm looking for about 120 yds of Berocco Softwist (or something similar) in a shade of dark grey, spice orange, or olive green - anyone have anything like this that's looking for a new home?
Thanks! Smiley
