21  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hoopla: hearts galore! on: March 08, 2011 02:50:02 AM
Hi everyone,
This is the first time I post in the needlework section of Craftster. Yay!
I usually incorporate my embroidery work into other projects, but this time I cross-stitched for the sake of cross-stitching and made my very first hoopla.
Normally I design my own crafts, but this time I used designs from DMC (from the special edition 'Heart, 400 cross-stitch designs'), because they are so darned cute.
I covered the back with eco-felt.

I hope you like it.
Kind regards,
BeaG
22  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Ballet ATC's on: March 07, 2011 02:44:42 AM
I'd like to show you three more collage ATC's (70, 71, 72).
Materials used: paper prints, luxury papers, stickers.

I hope you like them.
Kind regards,
BeaG
23  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Cat ATC's (collage) on: March 03, 2011 02:26:07 AM
For this series of ATC's I cut a cat out of a box of catfood, scanned it and resized the picture in Photoshop.
The backgrounds are made from luxury papers (the last two of them have glitters, but that doesn't really show up in the scans).

I hope you like them.
Kind regards,
BeaG

I made three more ATC's, using retro wallpaper, a vintage French bookpage, satin ribbon and a little blingy flower.

I hope you like them.

27  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / More ATC's: handdrawn BUGS on: February 08, 2011 12:49:02 AM
I proudly present my latest series of ATC's, figuring handdrawn bugs!

I used a pencil (refill), coloured pencils (Karisma, by Sanford) and ink (fineliner 0.2mm), on cardstock.
I spent two hours on each card.

I was inspired by a book about bugs, but I guess you could say I mutated the bugs (enlarged their bodies, shortened their long legs, to make them better fit the cards).

As always, coloured pencil drawings are hard to scan (or photograph). But after some Photoshopping they look almost as good as in real life.

I would love to know what you think of them (and which one is your favorite).
Thanks!

28  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / 12 more ATC's (colourful silhouettes) on: February 03, 2011 10:27:52 AM
I made these ATC's by tearing coloured strips of paper from magazine pages, glueing them onto a piece of paper, cutting out a silhouette and glueing that onto cardstock.
You might want to try it one day. It is cheap and fun!

They were hard to scan. In real life the colours are a bit different and less pixely.
I would love to know what you think of them and which one is your favorite.
Thanks!

29  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / ATC's 25, 26 and 27 (fabric leaves) on: February 02, 2011 11:26:15 AM
Another series of three ATC's.
I used cotton fabric for the leaves and drew the branches with ink.
They were done on pastel drawing paper.

The yellow/ochre in the last one is actually a shiny gold colour.

I would like to know what you think of them.
Thanks!

30  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / ATC's 22, 23 and 24 (fabric flowers) on: February 01, 2011 02:36:10 AM
Three more ATC's: flowers made out of cotton fabric, and little white stickers, on ochre coloured pastel drawing paper.

I hope you like them.
