I am looking forward to hearing (reading...) the total amount that the DMs made from the auction. I hope it exceeds everyone's expectations!

A bit early to ask, but do you think there is going to be another one of these silent auctions with handcrafted goodies in the future?
If so, you can count me back in.

I think a good idea for the next time is to mention the original price of the item (for those of us that sell their work), or an estimated value, so that the bidders get an idea of the actual value of the item. That way the bids might get a little higher and the DMs would make even more money. Just an idea.
Of course you want to have many items in every price category, for different budgets, so that kids can afford to buy stuff they like with their own money, and some parents, grandparents and school staff can perhaps afford to buy the more expensive items.

As for necklace stands: I have a tutorial with printable pattern (for sale in my shop, but I'm closing my shop at the end of April), which I'd be happy to share with the DMs. The necklace stands are easy to make from cheap materials, so I think the kids could make a bunch of them for displaying the necklaces that have been donated.

Just keep us posted on things you need and we might be able to help you out.

Go Difference Makers!

Love that you actually made the mold for the individual parts.
