Is there underdrad party chaos?  I would just say wander around and check out a bunch of places. There seem to be openings everywhere all the time. Also check out Craigslist.

I've printed successfully onto muslin tons of times. It's not for the faint of heart, but overall there's nothing to it.

Silkscreen (which is the same as screen printing except that no one really uses real silk anymore) requires the use of a screen with negative areas blocked off. Silk painting is simply painting directly on silk. Tons of people make painted silk scarves and other items. They're probably dry cleanable.

Not all screenprinting ink is oil based.

sand or otherwise prep the surface first then use enamel for metal.
