get a bunch of spa goodies! like bath salts/bath bombs, a tube of face mask, a cucumber so she can cut it into slices to put on her puffy eyes, some foot soak, etc.  Also, some nice smelling lotion to put on afterwards!

sorry if someone already said this (I didn't read through the whole thing  Wink), last year for Halloween I was Miss. America.  it's pretty easy, all you have to do is wear a pretty dress and high heels, make a sash out of a wide piece of white silk ribbon, then iron on the letters that spell out Miss. America.  And then just wear a sparkly tiara with fake diamonds on it, for my hair I put it up in a bun but you could really put it down too.  And then pile on lots of makeup and huge fake (or real) diamond/pearl earrings and necklace.

25  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: "_____ in a box" gift ideas. on: August 02, 2005 08:45:03 AM
Wow I just read through all 32 pages of this thread, and now I'm inspired to make an "in a box" present.  I was thinking of making a "sleepover in a box" for my 11 y/o sister.  Someone suggested it earlier on in the thread and I thought it would be a good present for her. So, the stuff I'm thinking of putting in so far:
Nail polish, toe seperators, tube of face mask stuff, a CD or two, a few DVDs (anyone have any good ideas for which ones?), some microwave popcorn...
If any of you had some more ideas that would be fantastic.  Thanks so much in advance!  Cheesy

maybe put in some fun dress up stuff, a few pre-teen magazines.
as for dvds, sleepover, big fat liar, princess diaries, etc. just movies that are a bit older than kids but younger than teens.

thanks so much!! i'm sure she'd like fun dress up stuff  Wink and she loves magazines. I have no idea why i didn't think about that before...  Grin

My mom is really into France (especially Paris)- she lived there for a year, so now she really misses it.  I was thinking of making her a France in a box.  Does anyone have any good ideas of what to put in it?
Also, I was thinking of making my 11 y/o sister "sleepover in a box".  I've already thought of a few things to put in- some nail polish, toe seperators, tube of face mask, one or two CDs, a few DVDs (anyone have any ideas of which ones?), and some microwave popcorn.
If anyone has any ideas for either France in a box or Sleepover in a box, I would love to hear them! Thanks in advance!  Cheesy

Hmm...
You could write her a list, like "14 reasons I love you", "14 reasons you're a great friend", etc.  like, for "14 reasons I love you" you could do...

1. You cam make me laugh even when I'm sad
2. You always help me with my algebra homework
3. You help me to go for my goals

etc etc!

That's an absolutely gorgeous album... anyway, you could add random things that bring back memories, like if you have the ticket stub to the first movie you went to together.  Sorry I dont really have any good ideas- but I just wanted to let you know that your scrapbook sounds so beautiful and touching! I'm sure he'll love it!  Smiley
