1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Fixing up a wooden horse stable any ideas? on: December 26, 2010 12:41:38 AM
I got a wooden horse stable for Christmas. It needs a little gluing in places, but it's very nice. I was wondering, what are some neat ways to jazz it up? It's bare unpainted. I don't want anything too damaging or too permanent, but all ideas are welcome.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Orange Faux fur? where can I find this? on: December 04, 2010 12:22:11 AM
I need orange faux fur, like fox fur. I've been to both Joann's and michaels, both online and in store and they don't have any. We don't have a Hobby lobby here, but I couldn't find any on their website either. This is driving me nuts. I just need a little bit, and what little i'm winding up finding (bright, bright orange on amazon by third party) is super expensive, and a whole yard.
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / How to make amigurumi hands and feet like these? on: November 10, 2010 03:17:16 AM
Does anyone know how to make hands like these =tags&includes[1]=title&filter[0]=handmade]http://www.etsy.com/listing/60385325/pdf-basic-character-doll-amigurumi?ref=sr_list_2&ga_search_query=basic+amigurumi&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes[0]=tags&includes[1]=title&filter[0]=handmade? I'd like to couple them with this pattern here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=312501.0

do you think it would look weird to have the hands from the first pattern, with the feet from the second?

how can I make the hands and feet like that?
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Making an altered book as a present for my boyfriend (ideas please) on: September 18, 2010 12:16:01 PM

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / want to make(or find someone to make) anthro animals on: July 28, 2010 01:18:57 AM
I'm not the best sewer, and i'm terrible with designing patterns. However, I need to get some anthropomorphic stuffed animals. I have no clue where to go to find someone who could help me (a lot) or who would make them. I'm not even sure how much it would cost.

Ideas?
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Poppet questions on: July 04, 2010 12:36:10 AM
I have the poppet pattern, but I haven't gotten around to making one. I sat down and looked at the pattern. I'm unsure how to put the head together. how would one go about doing that?

also, is there any way to give her breasts?

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Designing my own top pattern...how to shape arm and neckhole? on: January 31, 2010 03:20:57 AM
I haven't crocheted clothes in forever, and I haven't designed my own. How do I go about making arm and neck holes? I've looked all over and I can't figure this out.
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Pattern Testers Needed! 18" doll "suede" cowboy skirt with fringe on: January 28, 2010 01:31:49 AM
I needed a pattern tested. It takes a D hook, and soft, thick suede yarn (not the thinner suede kind). I need at least four people to work this up, and see how it goes. If you find any mistakes please tell me. If you think there is anything I can improve, or if I should change my wording, please tell me that too.

Pm me and I'll send you the pattern. Smiley
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Tea dying didn't hold up in wash on: January 22, 2010 12:16:45 AM
*sigh* I tea dyed some fishermans wool. after many days of waiting for it to dry(due to rain) it finally did. I crocheted a test swatch, and felted it up in the wash. Before it has been a lovely beige, sort of like a skinetone color. Now it's a  dingy grey-beige. it doesn't look nice at all. is there a way to make the dye more permanent?
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Discussion and Questions / Amigurumi feet (that look like feet) ? on: January 10, 2010 03:18:18 AM
How do you make feet that actually resemble feet? No toes necessary, just a general, non-shoed foot shape? This has been driving me nuts *forever* and I can't figure it out. My ami's just wind up having long tubes for feet. I've tried everything (or so it seems) and I've been stuck on this for months. I have this great ami Idea, but everytime i get to the feet, it never turns out.

Help please!
