I received last week from strawberryjeli:)

Everything together. Three bookmarks, six gift tags, a Tardis necklace, a Tardis phone charm and a make your own Tardis kit.

Book marks - I love the one with Five and Ten.

I had to include a picture of the envelope. Everything fitted into a small envelope and look what she wrote on the back of it:)

Thank you for a great parcel strawberryjeli.

2  Re: Sea Life Swap Gallery Under the Sea in The Swap Gallery by Saor on: October 31, 2009 03:08:17 PM
At last I am posting picture of the parcel I got from kwality570. I have been rather scatty with this swap Embarrassed

Anyway I got

A lovely mirror with a mermaid - the colour looks a bit washed out here - it's redder. The mermaid has a shell in her hand. It's now in my downstairs toilet. You can also see octopus cat toys here too:)

A handbag with jeeoly fishes embroidered in silver thread. Very well made. It has a pocket inside for my phone - I love bags with pockets. It also has a broad shoulder strap.

There was also a cute green seahorse magnet. I'll post a picture of that later and maybe a better picture of the bag.

Thanks for being a great (and patient) partner:)

A project bag - the fabric has cute seahorses and it just the right size for knitting needles and a project to go in my handbag.

I received a great parcel from PirateColey the other day. It took  weeks to get here so we both nearly given up on it I think.

Great pyjama pants in mermaid fabric. They are so warm and comfy. I have to tighten the elastic a bit but Pirate thoughtfully made them so I can do that. They are great. The fabric is so cute.

A T-shirt with a mermaid on the front. It's brighter in reality and it's a favourite colour of mine - we just painted the chimney breast a similar colour.

This the piece de resistance - get ready to Wist.

Isn't she beautiful?  She is about a foot long and goes well with the colour of the wall here I think.

Close-up. My husband loves it too - he reckons she looks like me - the eyes of love. My hair and eyes are kind of the same though. Check out the detail.  This went up on the wall in the bedroom straight away.

And extras!

A key ring, a door hanger, a print of a mermaid geisha and some patterns for paper dolls. I said that I liked geishas and mermaids.

It took nearly 6 weeks to get here   Shocked and came via Colombia and the Uk and was opened at least once so I was delighted to see it arrive and delighted everything was OK. I knew there was something ceramic in it so I was a bit worried. Everything was ok except for what looks like a slash mark on the back of the door hanger. Oddly,  another parcel was sent from the same state that Pirate lives in at the same time and went to Trinidad before getting here!

Thanks for a great parcel, PirateColey and thanks for a great swap idea craftybeachgirl!

4  Re: Chocoholics Unanimous Round 5 Gallery of Sweet Chocolatey Goodness! in The Swap Gallery by Saor on: August 05, 2009 09:07:01 AM
I got a great parcel from ckchan last Monday.

The first thing I saw was two fabric bowls. I had these on my Wist since I saw them here on Craftster. I have one in my sitting room with remotes in it and one on my dresser. My sewing skills aren't up to making them so I wa thrilled to get them. Lovely colours too.

Also some lovely note cards - her first time making them too. I gave one to my FIL as his birthday card and he loved it (he likes hand made things). Here are the cards with the chocolate coloured earrings she also made. I love pearls and I love earrings.

And the chocolate -
I have a new chocolate love - chocolate covered cherries.

There was a big bag of the Reeses' peanut butter chocolate. And the Idaho spud made me smile.

There was a also a box of lovely truffles which melted a bit. Still got eaten though.

Thank you for a great swap:)

I have received - from boogirl, wx2zdug and jca1982.

From boogirl:

They are shell(I think) and glass and they reach my shoulders. Lovely colours.

From wx2zdug:

Wood and glass - nice and neutral. I am wearing these now. And Swarovski and Czech crystal - I think. It was hard to get a true picture of the crystal ones so as to show up the colour.

And from jca1982

Goldstone and coral? I like the way these hang.

Sea glass and glass discs. I love sea glass.

krafty_karasu - I would be more worried because lgd had received.

6  Re: Embroider Me To Sleep! Pillowcase Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Saor on: May 18, 2009 10:01:21 AM
I received from lobsterchicky today - they are so original and very me:) I mentioned I liked mermaids and that dh and I both liked pin-ups. I wanted a pillow case set he would be happy to use too:) lobsterchicky combined the two themes. It's wet and dark here today and my battery was going - I think I'll go back and take better piccies to show up the detail.

My case. Check out the sequins! And the water:)

Ciaran's case. Brilliant. I can't wait for him to see it - he's at work now. Check out the crab.

The two cases together.

I got also got some sour Altoids - can't get them here and Ciaran is addicted and some postcards (which I collect)

Thanks again lobsterchicky and Alwaysinspired- great swap. I have swap anxiety now worse than ever..

I received my last paecel from NiinaMaria.

Notice boards made form place mats!

An embroidery kit with supplies and patterns. I had asked for embroidery supplies - the patterns were a great ideas since my printer is broken.

Floss and fabric. This floss is clever - it always stays in the plastic - so you only pull out as much as you need. Will  probably  make napkins from the white fabric.

A book full of patterns. Some of them:

I got a wonderful package(#2) from NiinaMaria a little while ago. I got the day after an operation so it cheered me up:)

A elegant china cup and saucer pin cushion. Since I am a messy crafter I am worried it would get broken if I left in my craft room so I have it on my dressing table holding pins and needles and safety pins and brooches. You can see the beautiful box it all came in.

Lovely vintage style pouch and apron and purple yarn. I love the colour of the yarn and the pouch reminds me of a purse my granny gave me as a little girl. I will post a picture of the pouch and yarn later.

Inside the pouch - embroidery floss(clever stuff in a package as opposed to a skein), a mini embroidery hoop, buttons(cute) and notions. I have been getting into embroidery lately so was delighted with these. Check out the lovely purple bow appliqu.

Clever apron made form a tea-towel. It has a very cute vintage/1950s feel.

I have been wanting a needle roll forever - but hadn't the courage to put my sewing skills to the test. Niina made me this beautiful one. I put it to use immediately. I love the fabric - it was inspired by my love of Japanese design. It fits all my needles.

Sorry for the delay in posting.

9  Re: European Swapper Fest Round 1...The Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Saor on: February 26, 2009 06:41:30 PM
I received from Reichan! The envelope was bulging:) We both love Asian/Japanese culture.

Crafty stash items:
Yarn, beads & buttons, more beads(handmade - they look like wood but I think they are papier mache), pens and erasers. I love the green/blue yarn.

My country doesn't have that:

Lots of chocolate(there was more more:P), 2 Belgian cookies(very nice), 2 types of coffee(had some of it today) and postcards(yay).

Crafted items:

A drawing of a geisha(great skills), a wonderful notebook(I love journals), postcards, painted hair sticks and a mouse for my cats.

Geisha drawing:

More of notebook: Beautiful paper and she wrote a wonderful quote from one of my favourite books in it:)

I also got a pair of chopsticks.

Thanks Riechan - I enjoyed getting to know you and swapping. This was a great idea for a swap.

I got a great package from jca1982. She is a first time swapper & spoiled me!

A record bowl full of choccie. Lots of pb chocolate - my favourite. There was more chocolate than in the photo - ahem. I love the record bowl. I have been meaning to try my hands at these. I am going to use it for jewellery.

A lovely apron and pot holder in Asian fabric. I love geishas and anything Asian. I have a bag with similar fabric.

Chocolate - a Ritter Sport(now gone), Gail Ambrosius truffles(divine), chocolate orange peel, lavender, orange, lemon and coffee chocolate(the lavender is so good).

The truffles! The salt one and the jasmine tea are the nicest so far! I am sharing each one with dh. He is officially not pushed about chocolate but gets very interested in the chocolate I get in swaps. He has even been eating my peanut butter chocolate! And he hates pb.

You can also see the lovely cuff she made me - so very me. I have not taken it off yet:) Also cool earrings and a string of beads.
