Hello craftsters! This is a little different painting in aquarelle I've made. I wanted to try something new and looked for some inspiration, before I decided to do something like this. I'm very pleased with the results, planing on making an other one really soon! It was great fun!  Cheesy  I'd love to hear your thoughts people!  (sorry for the bad photo-quality!)

Love it! When I looked at the thumbnail I though it might be a look inside our bodies but when I read universe I could not get the image of me floating around the constelations! Great job!

Thank you! Really makes me happy!  Cheesy

8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Could this be the universe? New painting in aquarelle! on: October 07, 2012 09:12:08 AM
New painting I've made in aquarelle! Didn't really had a plan figured out while making this, just kind of went with the flow and let the paint speak for itself.  Wink When I look at it now afterwards, all I can think of is outer space and the beautiful universe we have that embrace our living planet. What do you think of when looking at it? I'd love to hear your thoughts!  Smiley

Two things...first, that is a surprisingly pretty guy.  Second, that is a drop dead gorgeous hat!  Did you use a traditional hat block to form it, or something else?

Thank you so much!  Smiley

I didn't really use any other type of "helping" form or contruction to shape it other that my own two hands, haha! I just started out with doing a circle of the black steelwire. I didn't went after a particular pattern or so, just shaped the pattern of the hat by myself as I went on working with it and basically made like three different pieces of this pattern like the shape of a long rectangle and then but them together with the help of a much thinner black steelwire than the thicker one a made that created the pattern to kind of "sew" the pieces together so it would make the shape of a hat. Wink
