31  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Star Wars Jedi Knight Costume: My second SW project! ^_^ on: August 21, 2005 08:04:09 PM
This is yet another costume I made for the Revenge of the Sith midnight movie premier back in May. But this one was made for my boyfriend. We went as a group with other people dressed in costume and it was loads of fun. We kinda expected to be the only ones dressed up because my town is full of old people (Florida), but we were wrong...SO wrong. There were storm troopers, imperial officers, Jedi, and even Darth maul! I was the only Twi'lek though. ^_< It was a blast!

I apologize that the top pictures look a little dim because the sun was setting and a storm was rolling in...But hey, it's Florida. >_<

The photos at the top are newer and clearer because they were taken for ebay. The bottom ones are older (from back in May) and taken with a webcam, and show the giant cuddly Jedi robe, which we are not parting with. Hehe ^_<

32  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Egyptian Cat Goddess: Bast Dolly on: August 16, 2005 08:10:06 PM
I felt inspired by a few statues I own of Bast, the Egyptian cat goddess, so I decided to sculpt a doll of her.   =(^.^)= She is made of leftover sculpy, painted with a mixture of gold and black paint, and dressed with a few scraps of fabric and broken jewelry fragments that I happened to have around. She's been put together with copper wire and is jointed, so I may make her into a marionette someday. The cool thing about this project is that it cost me nothing. I was lucky enough to have everything on hand because I tend to be a pack-rat when it comes to craft suplies ^_<.

For those of you with dial-up internet, I am sorry! The pictures just didn't look good squished any smaller.

Thanks for looking ^_^

Another note: I also sculpted and painted the scarab pendant she is wearing, but it wasn't until I saw naked_ninja's scarabs that I was inspired to put legs on mine with the leftover copper wire. Thanks for being an inspiration and helping me spruce up my pea-sized scarab!

33  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Star Wars twi'lek costume- my 1st project post! on: August 16, 2005 12:25:43 PM
I made this costume for the midnight release party of Revenge of the Sith back in May. But since I  joined craftser last month I've been dying to put something up! I apologize ahead of time for all of you that use dial-up internet, it's a bit graphic heavy.  Grin

For the party I actually airbrushed myself purple! Sadly I don't have pics of that. So I colorized some of them in ACD.These are just some pics my boyfriend took recently for eBay:
