31  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: **TUTORIAL** slouchy hobo bag (the tinafish way) on: August 26, 2005 05:13:17 PM
I came across this tut quite randomly (wasn't even a memeber of craftster, in fact, this is my first post) and made a purse a few weeks ago for a friends birthday and figured i would put up the pictures of it. I'm incredibly pleased with it since it was my first time putting in a zipper (and without out a zipper foot) adn well as my first try at using acrilics to paint on fabric. It's quite small since i only had a 7" zipper (just big enough to fit a wallet, cell and Ipod)

It's made from an old pair of Dickies pants and a red t-shirt stolen from my brother, and embelished with paint, beads and buttons

This was my test bag, so there's definately things i understand better now and will do differently when i make one for my self.

Amazing tutorial! I love how everyone uses the same tut and comes out with such an original bag. it would be much more boring if you had given exact measurments that everyone followed.
