Just in time...

I made a Halloween dress out of some velour-ish fabric. It's pretty much complete garbage, but it looks good from the outside. First, here's the fabric: 


This dress is basically a circle skirt that I made too big, so I folded the fabric over in the back to make one big center pleat and sucked the pleat into the seam when I sewed the top and bottom together.  I cut the back longer than the front.  I ruched the center of the bust and added criss-cross straps.  I didn't use a pattern, but next time I'll make one so my dress comes out more even.  Here's the dress:




With the leftovers I made my cat a vest:
