do you know a pattern for a dress that looks like this? or even, do you think a pro could just recreate it without a pattern? eh i don't know. I'm too nervous just to try at it w/out a pattern by myself. I may pay someone if that's all I can do. But yeah, anyways, it's absolutely the most amazing dress i've ever seen.  40s inspired.

thanks guys. i'm just terrible at making up my mind. i like the "hello..."s. but i also really like autumn rocket...as i was drafting "logos"  i used a shirt i had with a rocket on it as inspiration.

its supposed to look sloppy, though i may make it a bit less sloppy looking.

well i know i'm terribly late. but even though my costume is not near as wonderful or elaborate as you guys'...i was proud because i only had 5 dollars. all i did was get a leotard and paint the batgirl symbol on it then cut off the bottom of an old skirt, and put on my belt from goodwill and my poor wornout yellow converse...as well as my black stockings.



my friend went as batman with the shirt and cape i made him. unfortunately i don't know have a picture of us together. or him. oh well.

well I saw the lich. pillow and wanted to try it but had an inkjet printer and wanted a colored pic. so i came up with this!

first of all I started by finding a picture. I used paint to make it bigger. I wanted it just like the original pic-with the "hair" to the left side. so i used the Image-Flip-FLip Horizontal button

Then using the iron-ons for inkjet printers I bought at Michael's, I printed my design (be sure to follow instructions on back of package)

On my package, it said to fold a pillowcase in half, iron it, and then iron my material (i used an old white t-shirt) and put it on top

Make sure your iron is on max and let it heat up for 5 min. 

While your are waiting, cut your ribbon as long as the bottom edge of the bag. Use fabric glue to glue is on.

Now you are ready to iron on your image. DO NOT STEAM! DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT! Place your image face down on the material. Then using two hands on the iron handle use your body weight to iron the image on. Make sure your get all edges and corners as well. Iron for about three minutes then lift up from the corner.

Cut away excess material from around your picture. Use fabric glue to glue it to the middle of the bag. Then use ribbon to line the pic. My ribbon was a little too thick for my bag so I cut it in half.

And voila! A great retro pop art bag in about 10 minutes!

don't know if this is what they were all talkin about but this would look really cool i think......(i may have to go find myself a pink shirt! haha)

k i posted this a long time ago but it got taken off.....and now...months later there are ones just like it! so i'm not real sure why it got taken off, but i'm postin again!

yea.......i made one of those.......i posted it on here a long time ago....there wasn't much interest then and it got taken off! 

hey ya'll.........now this may be totally weird.....but i just made a hair clip with a rocketship on it! i'm gonna post pics as soon as i can find my memory card.....(whenever that is!) i really want to show ya'll....!

i love post-its! you could decoupage them on  a table (either one color, coordinating colors, or go really bright and have a neon multicolored table!) i don't know if i explained that well, but it looks really cool in my head....

or you could decouage them all over....

a purse (it would be really colorful and wouldn't match much-except any shirt that matched the color of one of the post its-but it would be really neat looking)

anything basically........yo u could easly stick them in place then paint glue over them (clear glue!) or something like PuzzleSaver (the clear stuff that keeps puzzles together that you want to use as artwork or w/e- you could get it at Michael's or other craft stores) or something like that....

this may have been totally confusing but again in my mind it sounds really easy and i think it would come out looking really nice
