I'm also in st aug and would like to meet some other crafty folk. I've worked here a few years, but moved to town a few months ago. (i was commuting from jax before.) let me know if you're interested in a knitting, sewing, bead-ing, whatever kind of crafty gathering.

alteredmommy, i like your symbolism! very cool.

re: you signature line - leukemia does, indeed, suck. what can you tell us about joining a bone marrow registry? obviously, it's not like just showing up and donating blood (which i've done before) or being listed as an "organ donor" on your driver's license (which i am). what's the process for bone marrow?

well, this wouldn't use up all of it, but how about marnie maclean's erte cloche? http://www.marniemaclean.com/patterns/erte/index.html

i haven't made it (yet), but i have been smitten with the pattern ever since she made it available. i've been thinking of making one sans flowers for myself, just haven't gotten around to it.

I don't know if anyone saw my bulletin on myspace but I was thinking we should figure out where and when to get together and do whatever kinda crafting strikes us.

sounds cool, i'm up for this. even though i somehow seem to always get more talking and drinking coffee done than knitting. Wink
50  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Razor cami knitalong? on: June 03, 2006 07:27:55 PM
i'm thinking of giving this a try with some cotton blend yarn from my stash, but at a somewhat larger guage. so when i'm deciding how many to cast on, i just need to keep it a multiple of 12 for the lace pattern to work, right?
