1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Need Help with Loop-D-Loop Ragamuffin Earflap Hat Pattern on: December 26, 2009 07:55:44 AM
I'm making the Ragamuffin Hat from Teva Durham's Loop-d-loop book and I am having serious issues with the fifth round of the braided cable. I'll do my best to explain my problem. If anyone has made this hat, please help!
I am on the fifth round of braided cable and the pattern says to work CSB until the last 3 stitches. Then you are to work the cable over the last three and first three stitches of the next round. The problem is that when you get to the last 6 stitches you have just finished a cable, since the cables are worked in 6 stitches. So I don't know what to do with the second to last 3 stitches of this round. I have attempted this hat three times already and it hasn't turned out. I'm determined to figure out what I'm doing wrong and I think this point in the pattern is the critical piece to the puzzle. Any help is greatly appreciated!
2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Needle felted ring, merino wool and sterling silver on: August 11, 2008 04:10:38 PM
I made this ring for a swap recently. I'm pretty pleased with the texture. It's not a dense felting, it's more light and wispy while still firm to touch. The merino wool makes it very soft which I find lovely in a ring.

thanks for looking!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Evangeline, short version on: March 17, 2008 02:07:01 PM
I just finished these for a friend and am pleased. The pattern is from Magknits, evangeline. The yarn is a red/ purple kettle dyed merino wool, brand malibrigo. It's super soft and the color is very rich despite these bad photos...

I may have just enough left to make my own pair...
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knitted baby sweater and matching hat on: July 09, 2007 09:10:56 AM
I made this sweater and hat set while I was pregnant this spring. I think the pattern for the sweater came from Debbie Bliss. The hat I did freehand. This is my son in it...

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Very simple drawstring skirt on: August 08, 2005 02:26:17 PM
I made this skirt and based it on a skirt I bought new, an a-line drawstring. It was super easy and the first skirt I've made. Feed back is welcome. The picture isn't great, still trying to figure that stuff out.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knit capelet on: August 08, 2005 02:12:13 PM
I knit this capelet recently. I was inspired by lots of patterns. It is done in soy silk.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / wool and ribbon cell cozy on: August 08, 2005 01:21:57 PM
This is a cell cozy I made from lambs pride wool and ribbon yarn, with a button closure. I may felt it but I kind of like it the way it is.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / another cozy on: August 08, 2005 12:56:53 PM
This one is for my dad. It's his birthday. So of course he needs a knit beer cozy. It has "Dad" embroidered on it, but the picture is not great.
This was knitted flat, with ribbing on the top and bottom, and then sewn together. I have yet to master dpns
