I'm trying to put together a new social knitting club in Columbus. After Knitters Connection it seemed apparent that a niche amongst our local knitters needed to be filled!

We're looking to put a group of knitters together who are interested in going out for drinks and knitting.

If you are interested, I've started a community on Ning.com. (Ning also incorporates flickr photos!)

Please shoot me your email and I'll send you an invite. Right now we are in planning stages so we need your input!

We'd love to have you if you are interested in learning to knit also!

Crocheters/spinners/needlecrafters/lovers of knitters all welcome!

Staysik--

Nancy and I reviewed the pattern in the book and in our advertorial, but we can't seem to find any problems with this pattern. If you are still having trouble with this, please email Nancy (our vp of creative services and EXPERT). She can help you through anything!

Nancy@tahkistacycharles.com

you should put my name, Lizzie or Craftster in the re line so she knows its you! You'll get faster response that way. Good luck!

well i figure someone someday will need some advice for this...so in order to make a dress i added on more rows to the joan jett pattern.

I'm working with cotton yarn left over from when i was obsessed with making dish clothes (which if you havent made any yet...they are great for making while watching tv and then moms roomates etc. take them and love them) so the cotton yarn doesnt seam together well, but I plan on making a small sweater to go ontop of the dress and I hope that it will hide everything well.

now all I need is some fiberfill in order to stuff her and begin the hair and accesssories!

Is anyone still active on this knit-along? I'm a hardcore knitter, however a depression has kept me from knitting since January! I'd like to do something that is fun and quick so I can be motivated to get back into knitting again. I'd actually like to do www.yeastradio.com's Madge since her's and other's podcasts kept me sane thoughout my changing dep. meds. anyone interested?

I'll post again as soon as I get started...
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting needles on airplanes? on: November 09, 2005 11:55:18 PM
yeah this is bs (i read it earlier on lj punk knitters!  Wink ) knitters are not terrorists! until you deny their right to knit!

you know my 78 year old grandmother ALWAYS gets checked extra at the airport... and she doesn't even carry her knitting on the plane.

I even got the evil eye when I had my urban decay purfume called pistol with a picture of a gun on the box.

They need to pay attention to the things that really can cause danger. Who ever heard of someone dying from a pair of 3 inch tweezers?
