1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / 3D Crystal lacquer vs. resin on: February 23, 2008 12:15:29 PM
Hello all,

I am new to the jewelry making field...so new that I haven't done it yet.  I have purchased some pendant trays/bevels and epoxy resin stuff, but I keep seeing 3D crystal lacquer on jewelry making websites.  This seems an easier, cheaper, and safer option, but I'm wondering if it's a suitable substitute.  If so, where can it be bought?
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Fairy Gardens on: February 20, 2006 09:13:38 AM
For awhile I've been wanting to make a fairy garden in a small container.  What's cool is that you can make a lot of the little accessory bits yourself.  Was wondering if anyone's done this, and what sorts of plants to use?

Jenny!  I wanted to say how impressed and appreciative I am that you chose to encourage donations to the Red Cross via a link on your site.  Kudos on your compassion!  The fact that you are willing to forgo profits for your company to help those in need demonstrates what an awesome individual you are!  Grin

I was at Pier One yesterday and saw some cool wall hanging/tapestry things, but they're made out of fabric squares and beads.  Any idea how I might start one of those?  I'm just learning how to sew.

8  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Faded patterns on: August 05, 2005 01:25:49 PM
I recently received my lucha libre patterns, but they're all faded - weird, right?  The others were fine.  Anyhoo, I wanted to use them on a red apron but I'm not sure they'll show up.  Should I try anyway?
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / New to jewelry making - help? advice? on: August 04, 2005 10:52:43 AM
I would love to start making jewelry, but I'm not sure where to start.  Should I just start playing around and see what I can do?  What about supplies and tools?  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks!
10  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Embroidery blanks - ideas? on: July 31, 2005 04:54:03 PM
I need ideas!  What should I embroider on?  I'm not a fussy type, so napkins, tablecloths etc.  wouldn't get used.
