1  Fridge-Scrabble for Christmas in Winter Holidays by disgruntledgoat on: December 19, 2007 12:19:00 AM
Hi everyone,

My husband is Scrabble-mad, but was complaining we never get through a whole game the other day so today I made him Fridge Scrabble so we can spread a game out over time. It only cost $20, I can't wait to show him, but for the next week I will have to settle for sharing with craftster until Santa comes.

Here's a pic:

I have hundreds of letters left over from our wedding (I got them on eBay and used them for name tags) I took our scrabble board to the copy shop and had it copied and laminated. Then I glued magnets to the back of each one. I also used the magnet paper to print a set of numbers we can use to keep score and name tags for our scores.

Hope you like it!

2  OMG - Flying Paper Butterflies - I want to make one. in Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions by disgruntledgoat on: December 01, 2007 01:55:20 PM
Have a look at this (it's only 5 seconds) http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y210/flutteringdetails/?action=view&current=P6202594MOV.flv

Here's another clip that is longer, but more instructive: http://www.magicflyer.com/commentcamarche.mov

How do you think they work? The top and bottom wings must be wired separately with a rubber band joining them. Here's a clearer picture from the same site:

I am just not sure how they join at the top to allow for the winding. DH thinks it must be a ring, but I don't understand how you would assemble it. I want to put them into Christmas cards, I am so impressed!

Hi Craftsters, I've been enjoying some early holiday craft lurking and thought I would post the stockings I made for DH & I today. hope you like them! They are inspired by some by Stockings of Distinction and my favorite boots.

Well done! I love your colour choices. I have made one too, my kitty was not so hot on it at first, then I put it on top of our living room cabnet and now she sleeps in it every night:
