1  Knitted Lavender-filled Eyebag in Knitting: Completed Projects by PinkMonkey on: July 04, 2006 07:48:46 PM
Hello all,

As a very late Mother's Day present, I knit up a lavender-filled eyebag for my migraine-prone mother.

You can find a saucy pic of my wearing it and the pattern on my blog: http://pinkmonkeyknits.blogspot.com/2006/06/luxurious-lavender-filled-eyebag.html

I hope you all like my first original design and pattern.

Well, gosh darn, I just finished up my Kyoto, too!  Here's a pic:

I somehow remembered the right/left issue and fortunately, made mine the alive way.  Phew!  There's more pics and me rambling at length about it on my blog.  I love it!

Wow, everyone's progress looks so great!  Elisha, I really love your colors.  I have more pics of my progress up on my blog but i'll put a couple up here.

The one of me in the sash looks pretty silly, please pardon it.  The other piece is the back.  I have both fronts finished and I'm also a couple inches onto one sleeve but it's paused now as I've started to dig into holiday gift knitting, blah.  It's alright to have a little distraction as all of the stockinette was starting to get a little overwhelming.  I'm almost there though and I hope to have this done to wear for the holidays.

I'm looking for a bit of advice: I was thinking of assembling all the pieces, then picking up and knitting the color.  I know it would make it a lot less portable but it's less seaming.  I'd worry most about figuring out how many to pick up on each part.  Any ideas?
