K_Star... I've never done this, but I think I've heard this trick before... For tiny seams, put a piece of tissue paper under the fabric, and just rip it out of the stitches after. That may be a royal pain too though...

Yep, this is what I was about to suggest. Or you could use tear away stabilizer designed for machine embroidery. It is much stiffer than the tissue paper.

Tanath, such a cute hat and a gorgeous girl. The contrasting color band really makes it pop.

Oh cinnamon teal, those cups are so lovely. Do you ever sell your crafts? They remind me of a set I had as a kid.

What a gorgeous blanket. This is something I would love to make.

You did a great job. Love the colors.

I love Zauberball yarns.

Your shawl is great, but the story behind suckering both your friend and her pillow needs to be told.  Smiley

I really did have to look at the two to see which one was breathing.  Smiley

I think he is adorable and so is your entire family!! Whoo-hoo!

Seriously, this is such a great and personal gift idea. A three dimensional portrait of your sister's imagination.  Smiley

Kookaloo - I didn't think this one was that bad (Jalie 2911 I think is the number) but you definitely have to know something about sewing to be able to put it together with no words.  I would be a little hesitant to use it for something super complicated like jeans, but I would consider myself a still pretty beginner sewer and it wasn't that bad.

I wonder if someone like me who prefers to ignore the words on most patterns and only use the pictures would like it?  Huh

rottenlittleboys  - I started it in June but put it down for a couple of months because it got too crazy busy... I'd say I probably put it down for 6 months? I finished it in time for Easter.

Wow, that is still amazing.
