11  My duct tape bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tartan_skirt on: February 25, 2006 01:53:08 PM
Well, inspired by the rest of you I've finally made my first duct tape bag. We don't have fancy coloured stuff over here, so I had to make do with normal silver stuff and black electrical tape.

The writing up close. It's from The Dresden Dolls (a band), I didn't make it up:

The inside of the bag, with one of my books in the pocket and my drumsticks at the bottom to demonstrate it's usefulness Tongue :

Me modeling the bag, badly:

Had to resize them a few times, but hopefully they're ok now. Smiley

So what do you guys think?

12  Scoubidou necklace for Vday (2 images) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tartan_skirt on: February 13, 2006 01:09:38 PM
I made this a few days ago for my boyfriend for tomorrow, as he's broken all of his past necklaces. Cheesy Its basically just made out of a lot of scoubidou strings and beads with a safety pin for a clasp... might change that...

Well, heres the pictures...

Me wearing it:

A close up:

I have another picture, but image shack is being evil at the moment... I'll try to get it up later.

13  Half gloves! (3 images) in Knitting: Completed Projects by tartan_skirt on: February 13, 2006 12:50:06 PM
Today I went out and bought a pair of 10mm needles to finally try out some projects from a knitting book my friend gave me for Christmas. This is the first time I've used such big needles, the first time I've done a purl stitch AND the first thing I've done that isn't a scarf or a random shape for practice (and I've only made one scarf). I love the stuff I've seen posted on here, my crafts however are basic and badly done. Enjoy! Grin

Heres the result of one evening of knitting...

Both:

I had to get my mum to do the seams for me, as I felt I'd already learned enough for today.  Cheesy
