31  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: needle felted burger. on: May 27, 2005 01:22:50 PM
I squealed out loud when I saw the sesame seeds (I'm so glad my co-workers are used to that from me!).  Another fabulous creation!!!!

Aw!  Thanks y'all!  I've been thinking about making some more out of different fabrics and such as just regular stars (actually, this may be my Christmas present for some people) and embellishing them different ways.  If I do, I'll post more pics (I love having a working camera again!!!!!)
33  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Fantasy Stitchalong on: May 27, 2005 08:47:55 AM
Ilovepaper, I think I commented on your mermaid in another thread, but just in case, I think she is so adorable!  I'd love to see some in other poses!

And Ezri_B, those fairies are awesome!!!!  You should be really proud of both of them!  I'm so impressed by your drawing skills, too!  Oh, on the colorized one, are her wings done in an iridescent?  I like how they're there, but they're not in your face.  I think that's a nice twist (although there's nothing wrong with some in-your-face wings, too!)  I've got my fantasy picked out, but it's sort of weird, but I'm going to embroider it anyway!

How awesome and funny and cute!  Good luck at the market!  I'm sure these will get a great reception (accidental pun!)

Oooh!  I have a resident mouse, too!  My grandparents said I should find a way to get rid of it, but he's not doing any harm.  He comes out and picks up the cat food around Malcolm's bowl, we have a cup of coffee together, talk about our plans for the day, retiring to the Bahamas, that sort of thing, then he scurries away.   Cheesy
36  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Dyabolica Saves Mother's Day (embroidered tote) on: May 27, 2005 05:42:30 AM
Thank you!  I'm going to have to find that Kreinik stuff!  I found thread heaven while I was out yesterday buying dressmaker's carbon (my new best friend for making embroidery patterns), but I can def. think of some times I could use the kreinik, too!  And you're right, the floss isn't sooo horrible.  I just learned on this project (big time) that I don't want it to rub against itself a whole lot because that's part of what made it fray (although I have to admit I'm terrible about sticking with short lengths - I don't like making knots   Roll Eyes)
37  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Mermaids and Sea Life and Embroidery, oh my! on: May 27, 2005 05:38:06 AM
Thanks btlgirl and girlypirate!  Incidentally, if you search through yahoo for mermaid coloring pages, you'll find the mermaid picture!  As soon as I saw it, I knew it was destined for embroidery!

Aw!  He's a cutie with or without whiskers, but I think whiskers would be cool to see!  Yarn would be cute, although I'd be curious about something with a little more stiffness to it.  Fishing line maybe?
40  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Embroidery Sampler Skirt on: May 27, 2005 05:17:01 AM
It looks really cute!  What sort of stitch is the hot pink one?

Also, congrats on your impending bundle of joy!!!!
