That is really pretty!  I like that border a lot!  Of course, there's very little the comes from Dover that I don't like...  Anyway, all that strays from the point which is excellent work!

Ha!  I'm loving all of them, but Commuter Monster's my favorite!!!!  Doesn't he need Starbuck's in the other hand, though?  how else will he drive with just his elbows?   Wink  Or has that only been happening in my world lately?

Those look really good!  I don't see anything wrong with the subject mater.  To me, it's not really much different from people dressing up like gangsters or doing other gangster-themed crafts (gangster-themed crafts: now I'm picturing Al Capone knitting or a big quilting bee of gangsters, but anyway....)  I mean, they operated outside the confines of the law all the time and killed lots of people and no one seems to be weirded out by that.  Anyway....if you don't know who the people are in the picture, then they are amazing graphic portraits!  What I want to know now is which ones you're going to do next!

Ha!  Those are awesome!  I especially love the plaque!!!!

Very very lovely!  In looks, it reminds me of a much more subtle bargello(I think that's what it's called) embroidery!  Fabulous color choices!  Those are the same colors of my favorite rose!  Must investigate more!

Actually, I wandered away for a moment to Yahoo.  The Nordic Needle seems to have several books and such for this sort of weaving!  I love the internet!!!!

That is a really cute idea!!!!  And very well executed, I might add!  Where did you find larger paint chips like that?  All I ever find are the short little strips all in a bunch.

I love the belly button!  What a cute touch!  The rest of him is awesome, too!  Great pose!  Can't think of a name, though.
19  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Stitch-A-Long: Try Three New Stitches on: June 01, 2005 08:49:33 AM
That is really awesome!  I haven't had a chance to even start mine yet.  However, I don't really know what I want to embroider, so that's some of the delay.  Also, I have a few other projects I still need to do.  But your lovely and charming work is inspiring me!  Did you draw the picture, too?
