I hope everyone else is having as much fun making their stuff as I am!  Smiley

I stepped out of my 'craft comfort zone' to try a couple of things I haven't before and so far, everything has turned out well for me. Yay!

I'm loving my first swap! Cheesy lol

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Would you wear a fuzzy dropstitch scarf? on: August 29, 2005 08:58:13 AM
Thank you muchly everyone for your input! I love being able to check with Crafster when I'm doubting myself!!!

I think I'll find a warmer winter home for it -since it's bitter cold, here too.

I'd say I'm about half done right now. I will have to put it away this week as the family is arriving for our vow renewals & I hope to knit a poncho for my 8 month old niece while she's here!  Grin I will post a picture when she's all finished!

28  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Would you wear a fuzzy dropstitch scarf? on: August 27, 2005 03:35:52 PM
I started this dropstitch scarf this afternoon simply because....well, I could. Here's a pic of a swatch:

I started knitting it in Paton's 'Divine'. Now it's starting to look almost too fuzzy. What do you think? Would you wear a scarf like that? I'm planning on knitting it quite long & to add fringe at the end... I'm just afraid the fuzzy's will make it too messy looking!  Undecided Or is it just me & my issues? All input is appreciated!

That Tri-Aran Angle Shawl is gorgeous, box of purls! Did you post a picture of your finished one? I'd love to see it! Although, I think it would be overwhelming on my 4' 10" frame...

I haven't posted a picture yet, I'm planning on borrowing my sister's digital camera to take pictures of a couple of projects I have finished and this one will be one of them.
I don't know if I'll every actually wear the Tri-Aran Angle because I'm not big on shawls but I wanted to make one to say I could....and I'm only about 5'1" so it would be overwhelming on me too.

I look forward to seeing your picture of the shawl!
