5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Amigurumi Bear on: February 10, 2007 02:01:50 PM
Daisuke Bear is a psychedelic little bear with a pistachio felt nose, feet pads and tummy. His body has been crocheted with wool blend yarn and his eyes are plastic safety locked. He stands 7 in. from his ears to his toes (does not stand on his own).

I have been experimenting with making puffy cheeks on my amigurumis and I think this guy turned out pretty well.

I have also started felting parts right onto the dolls instead of sewing them.
Warning! it only works with 100% wool or blend yarn and 100% wool or blend felt.

6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / adorable green bunny on: October 14, 2006 10:07:47 PM
Yellow wool/cotton blend and green acrylic fun fur have been crocheted together to create this sweet girl. She has plastic lock-back eyes and cotton floss details. She sits about 6 inches high at the tip of her ear.

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Along came a spider... on: September 26, 2006 03:14:23 PM

This gorgeous spooky brooch features a midnight blue disk of wool blend felt embroidered with a lovely spider's web in metallic silver folss. Dangling from the center on a 3.5" silver plated chain is a beautiful brown patterned spider hand painted on shrink plastic.

The felt circle is approximately 2" in diameter and the spider measures just under that. A bar pin has been secured with Fabric-Tac and sewn between 2 layers of felt to ensure this beauty lasts.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Black Buttons and Crochet on: September 22, 2006 05:08:29 PM
I love this mixing of all different buttons on one piece of jewelry in one hue. I wish I had more decorative black buttons in my arsenal but I'm running low.

I used all black and gray buttons and then accented it with transparent peach colored glass beads.

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Vintage Buttons and Crochet! on: September 22, 2006 05:03:14 PM
Could there be a better crafty combination?!

I have so many great red vintage buttons I need to think of some good color combinations to make use of them. The standard red and black is going to bore me real quick.

Any ideas on new red+ combos? This is my take on red and blue. It's a super long necklace that can be worn in several variations and as a bracelet.
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Button bracelets with designer color combinations on: July 14, 2006 10:01:12 AM
I've been making button bracelets for a couple of years now but I had been doing it the hard way and making my own clasps out of wire. Thanks to Creative Kismet's great tutorial for a more simple closure solution (smacking myself in the forehead about this one) they are prettier than ever with metallic embroidery floss.
