21  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Bowling Ball Bags on: April 16, 2006 05:16:21 AM
I have several of these that came with the bowling balls I purchased at the thrift store. I think they're all pretty ugly, but there must be a good use for them. Any good ideas?

Plant markers, I like that. The simplest stuff is always the hardest to come up with. And if I cut the bottoms into a point, they should stick in the ground better. That's also a good one for my lazy butt to handle, lol.

Grin Thank you! I need more, but I can't find any more used softballs. All my places are sold out. Oh well, I'll find some cheapies somewhere.

No, I don't think so. I waited too late in the day to take the pic. The strange glow is from the camera flash. Looks cool, huh?
Here's a different view, several on the fence...

They're all different and this view is sorta hard to see. I'll try to take a better pic tomorrow.

I made these out of used softballs. My fence needed help, so these should perk it up. The pic is bad cos it was almost dark and I used the flash.

What grades do you teach and what uses have you come up with for the kids? Thanks! Grin

I've found that if you dampen your paper first, it won't wrinkle. Also, if the ink runs when wet, spray it well with a few coats of clear "spray paint" and then glue it. I use plain old Elmer's glue, watered down some. Cheaper and works great.

Did anyone come up with anything else? I have some, too.
