"I think I'll be done soon!  But 'cause of work, I will most likely mail in about a week."

Oh, man...you're way, way ahead of me.  Smiley

Hmm...I would actually prefer the send out date to remain the 28th, as I'll be in Texas during the 13th-19th.  I could swing the 21st, though.

Yay!  This will be my inaugural swap through Craftster, so I'm all nerd-giddy.

Great theme, by the way.
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Finished! Counterpane Carpet Bag from Handknit Holidays on: November 08, 2007 11:19:32 AM
Wow...thanks for all the kind comments, folks.  I'm flattered!

Am happy to report that the birthday sibling loved it to the extent where she was almost moved to hug me.  (We are not a huggy family and opted for respect knuckles over an actual embrace, but still.)  It's always nice to see someone appreciate the fruits of your labor like that.
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Finished! Counterpane Carpet Bag from Handknit Holidays on: November 02, 2007 02:13:20 PM
Knit this bag up for my sister's 23rd birthday.  The knitting itself took no time at all; it's the fabric lining that damn near killed me.  As illustrated in the photos below, hand-stitching?  So not my forte...

I used almost-but-not-quite four balls of Noro Kureyon in colorway #95.  Pattern from Handknit Holidays, a book I purchased for this pattern alone.

Holy crap!  I've never coveted a sweater - knit or store-bought - so bad in my life!

Zona:  I love the hand-dyeing.  Beautiful work!

You must have the patience of a saint.  Love the end result, though!

Love the color, love the texture/pattern...nice work!  Would definitely be interested in seeing a photo of the whole thing.

That is one sassy Coachella.  Love it, Amarillys!
